Abstract: A method for managing sports data is provided. In one example, the method includes, responsive to receiving, at a display of a computing device, a request for initiating a sub-event of a sporting event, accumulating data at a computing device during a sub-event of a sporting event. Transmission of the data to a central database may be delayed based on a pre-set delay interval. Upon receiving confirmation of completion of the pre-set delay interval, the data may be transmitted to the central database and correlated with hierarchically-arranged data profiles stored at the central database.
