  • Patent number: 7611701
Abstract: A process for the preparation of an enzyme-containing granulate is disclosed where an aqueous enzyme-containing liquid is mixed with an edible carbohydrate-based solid carrier, such as starch, mechanically processed into granules, and subsequently dried. This enzyme granulate is suitable for the manufacture of animal feed compositions by mixing feed ingredients with the granulate, treating with steam and pelleting. The compositions optimally show improved enzyme stability during the pelleting process.

  • Patent number: 7611877
Abstract: The present invention describes a process for the preparation of an enzyme-containing granulate wherein an aqueous enzyme-containing liquid is, optionally supplemented with a solid carrier and/or additive ingredients, processed into granules, dried and subsequently coated with a dispersion containing particles of a hydrophobic substance. The hydrophobic substance may be a hydrophobic fat- or wax-like substance or a hydrophobic polymeric compound. Preferably, the hydrophobic polymeric compound is a polyolefin, more preferably polyethylene and/or polypropylene. The thus coated enzyme granulate is suitable for the manufacture of animal feed compositions by mixing the granulate with feed ingredients, treating with steam and pelleting. The coated granulates show high enzyme stability during pelleting conditions and during storage. At the same time, the dissolution time of the granule is very short so that the bioavailability of the enzyme to the animal is improved.

  • Publication number: 20090266875
Abstract: A method checking the authenticity of goods, including marking and identification of the goods. A marking in a form of a patter having a pattern function is applied to the surface of the goods, a local change in physically measurable properties of the surface of the goods in the region of the marking being brought about by the marking; the marking is not perceptible by eye. The identification detects transmission, reflection or scattering of analytical radiation by the surface of the goods as a function of local coordinates and the wavelength of the analytical radiation, and thereby a response function is determined, which reproduces intensity of the transmitted, reflected or scattered analytical radiation as a function of the local coordinates and the wavelength, and by correlation analysis, the correlation of the response function with a known pattern function is determined. The marking is detected by the correlation.
