Abstract: A process for gas phase oxidation in which a gaseous stream which comprises at least one aromatic hydrocarbon and molecular oxygen is passed through one or more catalyst layers, wherein a moderator layer is arranged between two catalyst layers arranged in succession in flow direction of the gaseous stream, the moderator layer being less catalytically active than the catalysts adjacent upstream and downstream or being catalytically inactive. The desired oxidation products are obtained in high yield over prolonged periods.

Abstract: Disclosed are catalyst systems and methods of making the catalyst systems/supports for the polymerization of an olefin containing a solid titanium catalyst component having a substantially spherical shape and containing an internal electron donor, a support made by contacting substantially equal molar amounts of a magnesium compound and an epoxy compound in the presence of an aprotic solvent and subsequent treatment with a halogenating agent to provide a magnesium based catalyst support. The methods involve contacting an olefin with a catalyst system containing the solid titanium catalyst component.
Abstract: The invention relates to solid plant protection compositions comprising: a) liquid or low melting point polyalkoxylate; and b) a carrier based on relatively high molecular weight sulfonate, wherein (i) the weight ratio of liquid or low melting point polyalkoxylate to plant protection active agent is at least 1:2; (ii) the proportion of liquid or low melting point polyalkoxylate, based on the total weight of the relatively high molecular weight sulfonates, is at least 30% by weight; and (iii) the weight ratio of liquid or low melting point polyalkoxylate to relatively high molecular weight sulfonate is at most 3:1. The invention also relates to processes for their preparation and the use of the plant protection compositions for the treatment of plants and their habitat as well as corresponding processes, and also spray mixtures comprising such a plant protection composition.
