Abstract: A mounting assembly for a vehicle suspension component comprising a support housing having an aperture. A rod is partially disposed within the aperture and displaceable relative to the support housing along a line of travel. A rigid core is fixedly mounted to the rod and moves with the rod. An insulator is disposed about the rigid core between the support housing and the rigid core. The insulator has a number of portions separable from each other and separately placed about the rigid core. The portions each have interlocking sections cooperating with each other to couple the portions together and encapsulate the rigid core such that the rigid core is isolated from the support housing.
Abstract: A carbamate or terminal urea functional vinyl polymer is prepared by reacting a compound having an hydroxyl group and a carbamate group, terminal urea group, or a group that can be converted to a carbamate or terminal urea group, with a cyclic carboxylic acid anhydride group to form an ester bond and a free acid group from the anhydride; and reacting the free acid group with a compound having an epoxide group. The cyclic carboxylic acid anhydride group may be pendant to a vinyl polymer, or one of the compound having an hydroxyl group, a compound having the cyclic carboxylic acid anhydride group, and the compound having an epoxide group may have polymerizable ethylenic unsaturation that is polymerized, optionally with one or more copolymerizable monomers to form a vinyl polymer. When the compound having an hydroxyl group has a group that can be converted to a carbamate or terminal urea group, the group is converted to the carbamate or terminal urea group after step (a).

Abstract: In a process for preparing water-absorbent resins based on acrylic acid, crude acrylic acid is firstly isolated from the reaction gases from the catalytic gas-phase oxidation of propane, propylene and/or acrolein. This is treated with an aldehyde scavenger and pure acrylic acid is separated by distillation from the treated crude acrylic acid, and this pure acrylic acid can be subjected directly to a free-radical polymerization.

Abstract: A method of visualizing a color deviation of an actual color on a vehicle panel being painted utilizing a computer. A reference color image is displayed on a monitor to confirm that the reference color image is the appropriate color image relating to the actual color. Differences between that displayed reference color image and the actual color are inputted into the computer and the reference image is then translated into a revised color image. The revised color image is displayed on the monitor along with the reference color image such that a user can visually compare the differences between that displayed reference color image and displayed revised color image. The displayed revised color image can then be compared to the actual color to determine if any color deviations between the revised color image and the actual color remain.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for continuously, distillatively removing piperazine from an ethylenediamine-piperazine mixture under pressure at elevated temperature, by discharging the ethylenediamine at the top and the piperazine at the bottom of a distillation column. For the purpose of improving the quality of the piperazine, especially its color and color stability, the piperazine is subjected directly to circulation conveying it through an evaporator unit operated at a temperature of from about 160° C. to about 170° C. and returning it into the distillation column. After a residence time of from about 30 min to about 60 min in the circulation system, the piperazine is discharged in vapor form from a side draw in the lower section of the distillation column.
