Abstract: The present application relates to a Kelly bar arrangement for a drilling apparatus and a method for working the ground with the drilling apparatus. The arrangement includes a tubular outer Kelly bar and an inner Kelly bar which is displaceably supported inside the outer Kelly bar and has a rope suspension. The drilling torque can be transmitted between the outer Kelly bar and the inner Kelly bar. At least one line is arranged on the inner Kelly bar. A rotary feedthrough with a first attachment section and a second attachment section is arranged in a lower or upper end region of the inner Kelly bar. The rotary feedthrough includes a rotary device arranged for actively rotating the two attachment sections relative to each other.
Abstract: In some examples, a smartphone or tablet includes a device able to generate a digital identifier of a copy that includes at least one print image. The device includes at least one optoelectronic detection device that detects the at least one print image and creates a representation that includes a multiplicity of pixels. The device further includes a unit that evaluates brightness intensities of the pixels, that segments the representation into multiple fields that each are composed of pixels of the representation, and that provides each of these fields with a piece of position information. The unit also ascertains, in each of these fields of adjoining pixels, a difference in their respective brightness intensities, and displays the differences as a frequency distribution. A display device further displays the digital identifier of the respective copy of the relevant printed product in the form of a graphical and/or alphanumerical display.

Abstract: A method of forming a sporting implement includes placing a plurality of fibers in a cavity formed in a first portion of a mold, the mold having an inlet and an outlet. A second portion of the mold is positioned in contact with the first portion such that the cavity cooperates with the second portion of the mold to define a chamber. A first material is mixed with a second material to form a thermoplastic resin. The thermoplastic resin is injected into the chamber through the inlet. The inlet and outlet are closed, and the thermoplastic resin completely polymerizes so as to form a fiber reinforced sporting element in the chamber, and the sporting element is removed from the chamber.

Abstract: In some examples, a sheet-fed printing press includes a dryer for drying sheets printed by a non-impact printing device. A cooling unit is directly downstream from the dryer in the transport direction, and includes a cooling module above a conveying plane. The cooling module uses air as a cooling medium, and may include a blower module with blower nozzles that blow the cooling medium onto the surface of the sheets being cooled. The blower module forms, with a guide surface, a gap with respect to the surface of the sheet being cooled. The guide surface of the blower module is arranged at a height above the surface of the sheet being cooled so that the cross-section of an outer annular gap, through the cooling medium exits, is smaller than or almost equal to a sum cross-section across all opening surfaces of the blower nozzles in the guide surface.
