Abstract: Conjugated diolefins, optionally in combination with other unsaturated compounds which may be copolymerized with the diolefins, are polymerized by performing the polymerization of the diolefins in the presence of catalysts based on monocyclopentadienyl compounds of vanadium and alumoxanes in the presence of aromatic vinyl compounds as the solvent at temperatures of −30 C. to +80 C. By means of the process according to the invention, it is possible to straightforwardly produce solutions of polydiolefins, such as polybutadiene, having 1,2 unit contents of 10 to 30% in aromatic vinyl compounds, which solutions may then, for example, be further processed to yield ABS or HIPS.

Abstract: N-aryl-N'-alkyl-piperazines are obtained in a particularly simple manner, in good yields and in short reaction times when an aniline is reacted under pressure with an N-alkyl-bishydroxyethyl-amine in the presence of a strong acid.

Abstract: Polycarbonate molding compositions resistant to light aging and exhibiting an improved notched impact strength are disclosed. The compositions which are based on an aromatic polycarbonate, aromatic polyester carbonate or a polyester, contain a redox-catalyzed graft polymer of resin-forming monomers on a rubber, a phosphorus compound and a fluorinated polyolefin.

Abstract: The invention relates to new N-aryl-nitrogen heterocycles of the general formula (I) ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 represents hydrogen or halogen,R.sup.2 represents hydrogen or an in each case optionally substituted, straight-chain or branched radical from the series comprising alkyl, alkenyl or cycloalkyl andA represents one of the radicals or ##STR2## where R.sup.3 represents alkyl,R.sup.4 represents alkyl andR.sup.5 represents hydrogen or alkyl,a plurality of processes for their preparation, and their use as herbicides.

Abstract: In the production of non-adherent coated paper substrate by applying to the substrate a solvent-containing mixture comprising (A) an .alpha.,.omega.-polyorganosiloxanediol, (B) an organosiloxane containing Si-H groups, (C) an alkyl- or alkenyl-triacetoxysiloxane, (D) an organic isocyanate with more than two isocyanate radicals and (E) a hardening catalyst, and then heating the substrate to harden the coating, the improvement which comprises including in the mixture applied to the substrate a reaction product (F) of a chloromethylpolymethylsiloxane of the formulaClCH.sub.2 (CH.sub.3).sub.2 Si[OSi(CH.sub.3)CH.sub.2 Cl].sub.n OSi(CH.sub.3).sub.2 Clwherein n is from 2 - about 200, with at most an equivalent molar amount of a primary alkyl, alkenyl or cycloalkyl amine with about 4-18 carbon atoms, e.g. butylamine, hexylamine, cyclohexylamine, 2-ethylhexylamine and allylamine. The coating hardens in a very short time in a drying oven but at normal temperatures the mass has a relatively long pot life.
