Abstract: A lithium battery including an anode having an active anode material, a cathode having an active cathode material. The cathode material includes lithium nickel cobalt manganese cobalt oxide (NCM). An electrolyte separates the anode and cathode. The electrolyte includes a solvent or solvent mixture and lithium hexafluorophosphate, and a germanium organyl-based electrolyte additive. Also disclosed are uses of the germanium organyl-based electrolyte additive in the lithium battery for enhancing one characteristic selected from the group consisting of reversible capacity, Coulombic efficiency, cyclic stability and combinations thereof.

Abstract: A drive system includes an electric machine with a rotor having an externally excited rotor winding, and a stator having stator winding sets, each with at least three stator windings; a control unit controlling the electric machine supply the rotor winding with a first current signal, and the stator windings with different current phases of a multi-phase second current signal, thus producing a rotary magnetic field generating a torque on the rotor; at least one inverter, the multi-phase current signal being provided based on the at least one inverter; and at least one rectifier providing a DC signal, the first current signal being based at least on the DC signal and on an AC harmonics component. Abstract: A pre-chamber ignition system for a spark-ignited reciprocating piston internal combustion engine includes a housing where the housing is installable in a cylinder head of the spark-ignited reciprocating piston internal combustion engine and where the housing has a cavity. Abstract: In order to produce different motor vehicles of a vehicle type, which have the different drive concepts of an internal combustion engine, electric motor or a combination of an electric motor and an internal combustion engine, two different floor pan assemblies and two different luggage compartment floor subassemblies are provided. The two subassemblies are each produced using different deep-drawing dies. A combination of one of the two floor pan subassemblies with one of the two luggage compartment floor subassemblies allows the production of motor vehicles for all three drive concepts. The first of these two floor pan subassemblies, when installed in the vehicle, has a higher position than the second floor pan subassembly. The higher floor pan subassembly is used to produce both the electric-drive motor vehicles and hybrid-drive motor vehicles. A large-area installation space below the floor pan subassembly is also made available for the hybrid-drive motor vehicles for housing at least one pack-type battery.

Abstract: A method for detecting a movement of a rail vehicle, in particular a freight or passenger train, in a warning zone of a rail crossing, includes: determining a first temperature in the warning zone of the rail crossing or in a portion of the warning zone at a first time; determining a second temperature in the warning zone of the rail crossing or in a portion of the warning zone at a second time.
