Abstract: A voice interface platform includes a script processing engine that interprets user intent arising from a user request using a script, and using the script defines how applications respond to the user requests based on the user intent; and the script defines how the applications respond based on a platform on which the user request originates and can then switch to other mechanisms such as text messaging to deliver discount codes, coupons or web links to the user. The platform provides a mechanism that allows us to offer a service to a customer to create an application on a voice-platform such as Amazon's Alexa or Google Home that may collect information from a consumer, including a mobile phone number and then send an SMS (Simple Message Service) Text to that mobile phone number that contains marketing information from the customer that is relevant to the consumer and may even be tailored based on the information that was collected.
Abstract: Described herein are methods and systems for filling a medical prescription. One implementation comprises a central prescription handling engine comprising a server and a database, which is in communication with a computing device of a given user via a wide-area network and configured to receive prescription data corresponding to the medical prescription. The central prescription handling engine selectively routes the received prescription data to a given pharmacy interface among a plurality of pharmacy interfaces and selectively routes scheduling data received at the given pharmacy interface for communication to the given user. The given pharmacy interface is in communication with the central prescription handling engine and is configured to receive the prescription data from the central prescription handling engine and to communicate to the central prescription handling engine the scheduling data corresponding to the prescription data.
Abstract: The inventive concepts herein relate to performing block retrieval on a block to be processed of a urine sediment image. The method comprises: using a plurality of decision trees to perform block retrieval on the block to be processed, wherein each of the plurality of decision trees comprises a judgment node and a leaf node, and the judgment node judges the block to be processed to make it reach the leaf node by using a block retrieval feature in a block retrieval feature set to form a block retrieval result at the leaf node, and at least two decision trees in the plurality of decision trees are different in structures thereof and/or judgments performed by the judgment nodes thereof by using the block retrieval feature; and integrating the block retrieval results of the plurality of decision trees so as to form a final block retrieval result.
Abstract: An ignition circuit and a method of operating an igniter (preferably a traveling spark igniter) in an internal combustion engine, including a high pressure engine. A high voltage is applied to electrodes of the igniter, sufficient to cause breakdown to occur between the electrodes, resulting in a high current electrical discharge in the igniter, over a surface of an isolator between the electrodes, and formation of a plasma kernel in a fuel-air mixture adjacent said surface. Following breakdown, a sequence of one or more lower voltage and lower current pulses is applied to said electrodes, with a low “simmer” current being sustained through the plasma between pulses, preventing total plasma recombination and allowing the plasma kernel to move toward a free end of the electrodes with each pulse.

Abstract: A wireless communication method includes transmitting, from a base station (BS) that comprises multiple antenna ports (APs), multiple first Channel State Information Reference Signals (CSI-RSs) on the multiple APs using a first CSI-RS resource, receiving, with a user equipment (UE), the multiple first CSI-RSs, and calculating, with the UE, a Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) value on the first CSI-RS resource. The RSRP value is an average of RSRP values calculated for each of the multiple first CSI-RSs. The RSRP value is calculated in wattage. The wireless communication method further includes reporting, with the UE, at least one of the calculated RSRP value and a CSI Resource Indicator (CRI) that indicates the first CSI-RS resource to the BS.

Abstract: A method includes generating, via a processor, multiple initial vectors, each including N elements. A code map is applied to each of the initial vectors, to produce an associated spreading code vector. Each of the spreading code vectors includes M elements, where M?N. Using the spreading code vectors, spread signals are produced based on a complex baseband signals. The spread signals are stored in a memory operably coupled to the processor. The first and second spread signals are split into respective sets of spread signals, each uniquely associated with one of multiple transmit antennas. The first and second sets of spread signals are transmitted to respective signal receivers for detection of associated complex baseband signals based on the associated spreading code vectors.
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for document boundary detection (BD) from an input image using a combination of deep learning model and image processing algorithms. Quadrilaterals approximating the document boundaries in the input image are determined and rated separately using both these approaches: deep leaning using convolutional neural network (CNN) and heuristics using image processing algorithms. Thereafter, the best rated quadrilateral is selected from the quadrilaterals obtained from both the approaches.
