Abstract: The system includes a controller communicatively connected to a first and second device. The first and second devices have multiple wireless technologies capabilities, such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and other known wireless technologies. The controller is configured to combine two signals generated from the wireless technologies into a single blended signal to transmit data from the first device to the second device or vice versa. The wireless technologies may be selected via a user interface which is communicatively connected to one of the first and second devices. Additionally, the wireless technologies may be selected using voice command or automatically selected by the type of data an operator designates. The controller is configured to combine two signals generated from the wireless technologies into a blended signal as well as allow two-way communication between the first and second device.

Abstract: A system and method for distributing key pair credentials that includes receiving a public key message at a key master service, wherein the public key message originates from a first client application; associating a key identifier with the public key; storing the public key at the key master service indexed at least by a key identifier; receiving a request for a public key from an outside service, wherein the request specifies a key identifier; and responding to the request with a public key according to the key identifier.
Abstract: A system for registering an input-limited device such as a media player with a captive access point that requires completion of a portal web page prior to allowing client devices access to a network such as the Internet. Such captive access points are commonly found in hotels, and may be used for both freely provided public WiFi and for connections that require providing payment. For registration, the input-limited device operates as a proxy, relaying communications with the captive access point back-and-forth to a second device with rich user-input capabilities via an independent communications channel. Registration information is provided to the access point as though it originated with the media player, allowing the media player to acquire access to the network.

Abstract: Intranasal administration of insulin for a predetermined period prior to anesthesia significantly prevented anesthesia-induced tau hyperphosphorylation and cognitive impairment and enhanced brain insulin signaling in mice. Intranasal insulin thus provides a treatment for prevention of anesthesia-induced tau pathology and increased risk for tauopathies in surgical patients and may be administered to a subject prior to anesthesia, such as by administering several doses of intranasal insulin for several consecutive days prior to any anesthesia.

Abstract: A method for isomerizing a bis(aminomethyl)cyclohexane, including an isomerization step of isomerizing the bis(aminomethyl)cyclohexane in the presence of an imine compound represented by the following general formula (1) and at least one compound selected from the group consisting of an alkali metal, an alkali metal-containing compound, an alkaline earth metal and an alkaline earth metal-containing compound: wherein R1 and R2 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a monovalent group selected from the group consisting of a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, and an acyl group (R1 and R2 may mutually bind to form a ring); R3 represents a hydrogen atom or an n-valent group selected from the group consisting of substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon groups; and n represents an integer of 1 to 10.
Abstract: The present invention shows that intranasal administration of E1/E3-defective adenovirus particles may confer rapid and broad protection against viral and bacterial pathogens in a variety of disease settings. Protective responses lasted for many weeks in a single-dose regimen in animal models. When a pathogen-derived antigen gene was inserted into the E1/E3-defective adenovirus genome, the antigen-induced protective immunity against the specific pathogen was elicited before the adenovirus-mediated protective response declined away, thus conferring rapid, prolonged, and seamless protection against pathogens. In addition to E1/E3-defective adenovirus, other bioengineered non-replicating vectors encoding pathogen-derived antigens may also be developed into a new generation of rapid and prolonged immunologic-therapeutic (RAPIT).
Abstract: The liner includes a rib formation with a transverse section configured to mechanically lock the liner to a concrete shell and a joint to allow the rib formation to flex. The joint for the rib formation can comprise a first side spaced apart from a second side with each joined to the transverse section to allow each side to flex with respect to each other. The space between the first side and the second side can be filled with a weld material to add rigidity to the rib formation while allowing it to flex. Each of the first side and the second side can be combined at the other end to a shell. The combined rib formation and shell are spirally wound to create the liner.
