  • Patent number: 9427203
Abstract: A system and method for digital x-ray imaging. The method includes emitting a first and second collimated x-ray beam from an x-ray source disposed in a first and second position, respectively. The first and second collimated x-ray beam is directed onto an identified region of interest (ROI) wherein a first and second ROI image is captured, respectively, when the x-ray source is disposed in the first and second position, respectively. The first and second ROI images are processed to extract features from each of the first and second ROI images. The extracted features are analyzed, and an indicator of a disease is generated responsive to the extracted features. The indicator can be stored, displayed, or transmitted. The first and second x-ray sources can be the same or different x-ray sources.

  • Patent number: 9431982
Abstract: A loudness learning and balancing system for one or more audio channels. The system learns user volume preferences from manual interventions, providing effective and robust loudness learning to provide a consistent and balanced sonic experience. The system also reduces and/or eliminates incorrect attenuation or over-amplification of quiet interludes in the audio material, thereby eliminating artifacts such as noise pumping or breathing. In addition, the system reduces low level noise in the audio signals while preserving a wide dynamic range at most listening levels.

  • Patent number: 9430847
Abstract: A method determines a motion between a first and second coordinate system, by first extracting a first set of primitives from a 3D image acquired in the first coordinate system from an environment, and extracting a second set of primitives from a 3D image acquired in the second coordinate system from the environment. Motion hypotheses are generated for different combinations of the first and second sets of primitives using a RANdom SAmple Consensus procedure. Each motion hypothesis is scored using a scoring function learned using parameter learning techniques. Then, a best motion hypothesis is selected as the motion between the first and second coordinate system.

  • Patent number: 9429421
Abstract: This application relates to determining uniformity of a housing for a computing device based on characteristics of a reflected pattern of light incident upon the housing. The reflected pattern of light can include an array of shapes such as dots whose orientation and location can provide indications of uniformity for the housing. The array of shapes are analyzed to determine certain geometric properties such as area for each shape in the array of shapes. The geometric properties can thereafter be compared to a predetermined geometric, threshold, or tolerance value, and each shape can be assigned a rank of uniformity. Once a rank of uniformity is defined for each shape, a compilation of uniformity values can be generated and used to find portions on the housing where the housing is not uniform or flat.
