  • Patent number: 9426040
Abstract: In one embodiment, a routing topology of a network including nodes interconnected by communication links is determined, and activity in the network is monitored to determine a normal behavior of the communication links. Weak communication links in the network that deviate from the determined normal behavior are detected, and it is then determined whether the weak communication links are spatially correlated based on the determined topology of the network. In response to the weak communication links being spatially correlated, a region of the network affected by the weak communication links is identified as a dark zone that is to be avoided when routing data packets in the network.

  • Patent number: 9422424
Abstract: A masterbatch of additives is useful for maintaining a constant and reduced coefficient of friction in polyethylene (PE) based films. The masterbatch is a compounded blend of siloxane additive in conjunction with a mineral, a cyclic olefin copolymer and, optionally, an antioxidant. These additives are different from the polar additives used in the past to reduce COF of PE films and do not have inherent incompatibility with the nonpolar PE matrix.

  • Patent number: 9423271
Abstract: A present novel and non-trivial system and methods for generating and presenting glide path information are disclosed. A symbology generator may be configured to receive first data representative of a desired glide path (“DGP”); receive second data representative of first glide path deviation or third data representative of at least aircraft position; determine second glide path deviation as a function of the DGP and the aircraft position if the second data is not received; and generate symbology data as a function of the DGP and the first glide path deviation or second glide path deviation, where the symbology data is representative of a glide path angle reference cue comprised of a desired glide path deviation indicator. The desired glide path deviation indicator may be comprised of a single geometric symbol or a pattern of a plurality of geometric symbols.

  • Patent number: 9423340
Abstract: The present invention provides a means of measuring the concentration of ozone dissolved in water or another solvent. Small, discrete samples are sparged with air or another unreactive gas for a short period of time to measure a profile of ozone vs time in the sparge gas. The total amount of ozone in the original sample is obtained by integrating under the ozone vs time profile. A correction may be made for ozone remaining in the sample after a finite sparge time by integrating under the profile tail using a decay constant obtained from the measured ozone vs time profile. The method differs from previous methods based on sparging of the sample in that a Henry's Law equilibrium or constant ratio of ozone present in the gas and liquid phases is not assumed and the flow rates of sample and sparge gas are not continuous.

  • Patent number: 9424586
Abstract: Technologies are described herein for remote management of sensors and other functionalities in a digital signage device through a remote management server. In particular, a Digital Signage Control System (“DSCS”) facilitates delivery of sensor command parameters to particular signage devices or a network of signage devices as specified in a Sensor Command Deployment Plan. After receiving various sensor commands from a user at a user interface, a Sensor Command Deployment Module generates a Sensor Command Deployment Plan (“SCDP”), which specifies which sensors or controls should be adjusted on signage device(s) and when the adjustments should be made. Subsequently, a Signage Communication Module (“SCM”) waits for a request for sensor instructions from a signage device specified in the plan. Once the request is received, the SCM deploys specific instructions or commands (parameters) to a particular signage device wherein the command is executed at the signage device.

  • Patent number: 9425394
Abstract: Provided are methods of fabricating memory cells such as resistive random access memory (ReRAM) cells. A method involves forming a first layer including two high-k dielectric materials such that one material has a higher dielectric constant than the other material. In some embodiments, hafnium oxide and titanium oxide form the first layer. The higher-k material may be present at a lower concentration. In some embodiments, a concentration ratio of these two high-k materials is between about 3 and 7. The first layer may be formed using atomic layer deposition. The first layer is then annealed in an oxygen-containing environment. The method may proceed with forming a second layer including a low-k dielectric material, such as silicon oxide, and forming an electrode. After forming the electrode, the memory cell is annealed in a nitrogen containing environment. The nitrogen anneal may be performed at a higher temperature than the oxygen anneal.

  • Patent number: 9426026
Abstract: Computer implemented methods, system and apparatus for configuring a cluster using a plurality of hosts include identifying a plurality of features for forming the cluster. The plurality of features define requirements needed in a host for forming the cluster. A plurality of hosts are identified to be part of the cluster. A compatibility analysis is executed for each of the identified hosts. A plurality of suggested adjustments to particular hosts are presented to enable the particular hosts to be compatible with the features requirements. A configuration template is constructed for the hosts in the cluster that are compatible with the requirements. The hosts are configured for the cluster using the configuration settings in the configuration template. The configured hosts enable the features in the cluster.
