One such embodiment of the foam backing panel comprises a rear face configured to contact the building, a flat front face configured for attachment to the lap siding, alignment means for aligning the lap siding relative to the building, means for providing a shadow line, opposing vertical side faces, a top face extending between a top edge of the front face and rear face and a bottom face extending between a bottom edge of the front face and rear face.
Abstract: Malfunction or failure of mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical equipment, for example equipment used in manufacturing operations, is often preceded by an increase in the operating temperature of at least some portion of the equipment. Some pre-determined temperature, greater than the highest normal operating temperature of the equipment, is presumed or known to be indicative of impending equipment failure if no remedial action is taken. A resettable, temperature-sensitive device, containing a shape memory alloy actuator, pre-selected to operate at the pre-determined temperature, is disclosed. The device is placed in thermal contact with the equipment. If the equipment achieves the pre-determined temperature, the shape memory alloy actuator causes the device to display a flag or provide some other passive visual indication. Alternatively, or additionally, the actuator may trigger an electrically-powered alert including visual or audible alerts or a wireless communication.

Abstract: A device may receive information that identifies available patches that have been released by a software provider. The information may further identify dependencies between available patches. The device may receive information that identifies installed patches that have been installed on a particular device. The device may determine a set of patches to be installed on the particular device based on the available patches and the installed patches. The device may determine an installation order for installing the set of patches on the particular device. The installation order may be based on a dependency between at least two patches included in the set of patches to be installed. The device may cause installation of the set of patches on the particular device, in an order identified by the installation order, after determining the set of patches to be installed.

Abstract: Among other disclosed subject matter, a computer-implemented method for performing a content distribution associated with a format includes performing analysis of an information collection reflecting network activities by a user, the network activities occurring in response to earlier content distributions to the user. The method includes selecting a format for a content distribution to be made to the user, the format being selected based on the analysis. The method includes performing the content distribution to the user using the selected format.
Abstract: A process of forming an electronic device can include providing a first interconnect over a substrate having a primary surface, depositing a first insulating layer over the first interconnect, and patterning the first insulating layer to define an opening extending towards the first interconnect. The process can also include depositing a second insulating layer over the first insulating layer to seal the opening and form a cavity within the first opening, and forming a second interconnect over the first and second insulating layers. The cavity can be disposed between the first interconnect and the second interconnect. In another aspect, an electronic device can include a first interconnect, a first insulating layer defining a cavity, and a second interconnect. The cavity can be disposed between the first interconnect and the second interconnect, and a via may not be exposed within the cavity.
Abstract: A system for conditioning the intake air to an internal combustion engine includes a means to boost the pressure of the intake air to the engine and a liquid cooled charge air cooler disposed between the output of the boost means and the charge air intake of the engine. Valves in the coolant system can be actuated so as to define a first configuration in which engine cooling is performed by coolant circulating in a first coolant loop at one temperature, and charge air cooling is performed by coolant flowing in a second coolant loop at a lower temperature. The valves can be actuated so as to define a second configuration in which coolant that has flowed through the engine can be routed through the charge air cooler. The temperature of intake air to the engine can be controlled over a wide range of engine operation.
Abstract: A server receives from a mobile communication device application data identifying an application accessible by the mobile communication device. The server uses at least some of the application data to assess the application. The application data can include, for example, behavioral data, metadata, parts of the application, information indicating the application is installed on the mobile communication device, or combinations of these.

Abstract: An optical system may include: a demultiplexer to receive an optical signal and to demultiplex the optical signal into a plurality of optical channels; a detector circuit to: receive the plurality of optical channels, and identify a predetermined channel identification trace tone frequency for an optical channel of the plurality of optical channels; and a receiver to: receive the optical channel with the identified predetermined channel identification trace tone frequency from the detector circuit, and process the optical channel.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of treating chronic wounds using calreticulin. In particular, the invention relates to the treatment of chronic diabetic wounds using topical application of calreticulin to a patient in need of such treatment.
Abstract: A low-profile filter frame is disclosed for maintaining an open filter plenum configuration during normal operation, and for enabling quick and reliable negative pressure testing. The frame has upper and lower halves. A breathing tube in the lower half connects to a respirator port. The upper and lower halves snap together to maintain the structure in an assembled configuration. The halves also include features that bias the halves apart when the device is in the assembled configuration, thereby maintaining the breathing tube open. To perform a fit test, a force is applied to an outer surface of the upper half, which moves the halves together, in opposition to the bias, so that the upper half seals against the breathing tube. The frame can be provide in as a single-piece, with a living hinge connecting upper and lower halves, or the upper and lower halves can be separate pieces.
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention are directed to, or are for use with, an implantable system including a lead having multiple electrodes implantable in a patient's left ventricular (LV) chamber. In accordance with an embodiment, the patient's LV chamber is paced at first and second sites within the LV chamber using a programmed LV1-LV2 delay, wherein the LV1-LV2 delay is a programmed delay between when first and second pacing pulses are to be delivered respectively at the first and second sites within the LV chamber. Evoked responses to the first and second pacing pulses are monitored for, and one or more LV pacing parameter is/are adjusted and/or one or more backup pulse is/are delivered based on results of the monitoring.

Abstract: A method of identifying potential driver sites for cardiac arrhythmias includes acquiring a plurality of electrograms from a plurality of locations on at least a portion of a patient's heart. Using the acquired electrograms, at least one electrical activity map is generated. Desirable electrical activity maps include complex fractionated electrogram standard deviation and mean maps, dominant frequency maps, peak-to-peak voltage maps, and activation sequence maps. Using one or more of these maps (e.g., by analyzing one or more electrogram morphological characteristics represented by these maps), at least one potential driver site can be detected.

Abstract: A method includes receiving, at a distribution management device, a request for a content item from a requesting local device. The distribution management device is at a first level of a content distribution architecture, the requesting local device is one of a plurality of local devices at a second level and each local device serves a plurality of sub devices at a third level. A determination whether the requested content item is available from the distribution management device is made. At least one other local device that has the requested content item is identified if the requested content item is not available. A minimum routing cost local device for the requested content to the requesting local device is determined based on the identified at least one other local device. A request for the requested content is sent to the identified minimum routing cost local device.
