Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for modifying network site behavior. At least one session-level performance metric associated with a client is determined. The one or more session-level performance metrics are determined from one or more latency times. Each one of the latency times represents a time elapsed between a sending of a network page request in the client and a rendering in the client of a network page received from a network page server in response to the network page request. A response to a next network page request from the client is modified according to the one or more session-level performance metrics in order to adjust a next latency time for the client.

Abstract: A firing head actuator for a well perforating system. The firing head actuator includes a housing assembly with a first impact piston initially secured thereto and slidably disposed therein. An electronic time delay assembly, a trigger assembly and an initiator are also disposed within the housing assembly. A second impact piston is initially secured within and slidably disposed within the housing assembly. In operation, a pressure signal of a predetermined threshold actuates the first impact piston, the first impact piston mechanically actuates the electronic time delay assembly, after a predetermined time period, the electronic time delay assembly electrically actuates the trigger assembly, the trigger assembly mechanically releases the second impact piston and pressure shifts the second impact piston into contact with the initiator.

The toy includes a frame for resting on a horizontal surface, spaced apart horizontally and extending upwardly from the frame defining an open area therebetween above the frame, and first and second pivoting assemblies at the frame engaging first and second arm members for adjustably pivoting the arm members between varying angles with respect to the frame. A bendable ramp is adjustably supported at the frame, secured to the arm members and sitting in the open area defined by the arm members.
Abstract: Desirable electrolyte compositions are described that are suitable for high voltage lithium ion batteries with a rated charge voltage at least about 4.45 volts. The electrolyte compositions can comprise ethylene carbonate and solvent composition selected from the group consisting of dimethyl carbonate, methyl ethyl carbonate, ?-butyrolactone, ?-valerolactone or a combination thereof. The electrolyte can further comprise a stabilization additive. The electrolytes can be effectively used with lithium rich positive electrode active materials.
Abstract: Apparatus and methods mitigate a problem of equalizing communications signals that have been distorted by severe non-linearities such as clipping or harsh compression. For example, severe non-linearity occurs when signal compression or signal clipping occurs at rates above 20% of the data transmission interval. Severe non-linearities may significantly reduce system performance. Disclosed techniques selectively apply DSP equalization based on the detection of non-linearity for a present sample or one or more samples prior to the present sample. These techniques can be implemented in relatively low-cost high-speed SerDes designs to improve eye openings and reduce sensitivity to InterSymbol Interference (ISI) and to improve bit error rate (BER).

Abstract: Feature information, such as street address data, is provided by multiple sources of varying levels of trust. The street address data provided by these sources may include various representations of an address for a map feature. Thus, overlapping street address data for the map feature exists. In one embodiment, a feature selection server merges the street address data for the map feature to create a representative street address for the address data provided from multiple sources.

Abstract: A roller assembly for a diesel engine used in a high mileage vehicle includes a roller having an exterior roller surface and an interior surface that defines a bore extending therethrough. A pin is positioned in the bore and defines an exterior pin surface. A plurality of rolling elements is positioned between the exterior pin surface and the roller interior surface. Each of the rolling elements rollingly engages the exterior pin surface and the roller interior surface. The roller assembly defines a clearance of between about 0.01 mm to about 0.03 mm between the rolling elements, the exterior pin surface and the interior surface. The roller assembly is configured to achieve extended life criteria wherein the clearance does not increase to more than 0.02 mm to 0.06 mm after 500,000 miles of travel of a vehicle powered by a diesel engine having the roller assembly installed therein.
Abstract: A reconfigurable toy assembly includes an external component having a first portion releaseably coupled to a second portion, the first and second portions forming a cavity when coupled together, and an internal component. A trigger is coupled to the external component. The internal component is reconfigurable between a retracted configuration and a deployed configuration. The internal component is retained in the retracted configuration via a latch and released from the retracted configuration upon actuation of the latch. The internal component is receivable in the cavity in its retracted configuration. The latch is actuatable by activating the trigger, so that the internal component is primed to reconfigure from the retracted configuration to the deployed position upon decoupling of the first and second portions.

Abstract: A highly flexible implantable lead that offers improved flexibility, fatigue life and fatigue and abrasion resistance improved reliability, effective electrode tissue contact with a small diameter and low risk of tissue damage during extraction. In one embodiment the lead is provided with both defibrillation electrodes and pacing/sensing electrodes. For defibrillation/pacing leads, the lead diameter may be as small as six French or smaller. The construction utilizes helically wound conductors. For leads incorporating multiple separate conductors, many of the helically wound conductors are arranged in a multi-filar relationship. Preferably, each conductor is a length of wire that is uninsulated at about the middle of its length to create an electrode, wherein the conductor is folded in half at about the middle of the length to create first and second length segments that constitute parallel conductors.

The obstructing wall portion blocks at least a partial view of the target wall portion from the viewing direction.
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing out-of-band network traffic monitoring such as intrusion detection to clients on a provider network. A client can configure new or existing components and specify that traffic monitoring be added on or at the components in the client's configuration on the provider network. Traffic monitoring is provided for the client's configuration via replication technology on the provider network. In response to the client specifying that traffic monitoring is to be added on or at a component, traffic to the client's configuration is routed to replication technology, which may be implemented at a network substrate level, that passes one copy to the client's configuration and sends another copy to a destination that handles traffic monitoring such as an intrusion detection handler. The destination may be anywhere on the provider network or on an external network.
