  • Patent number: 8584259
Abstract: Embodiments provide a system for content distribution and protection. The system first receives an order from a user for a protected document. In response to a successful user authentication, the system generates an access code for the user to access the protected document. In response to a received user reading request, the system validates the access code for a reading session. The system then transfers a set of URLs for accessing a set of pages and associated metadata in the protected document to the user. The set of URLs are valid for a period of time. Responsive to a request for reading a next set of pages, the system again validates the access code for the session and transfers another set of URLs for accessing the next set of pages. The system also logs user activities related to the protected document.

  • Patent number: 8582690
Abstract: An apparatus for determining signal power comprise an oscillating circuit and a determining circuit. The oscillating circuit generates an oscillating signal. When a to-be-detected signal has signal power greater than a threshold, the oscillating signal has a first frequency; when the signal power is smaller than the threshold, the oscillating signal has a second frequency. The determining circuit determines whether the oscillating signal has either the first frequency or the second frequency, and generates a determination result accordingly.

  • Patent number: 8578726
Abstract: A air channeling sub-system may include a mechanical cooling section and a direct evaporative cooling section. The direct evaporative cooling section may be downstream from the mechanical cooling section. Cooling air is channeled through the air channeling sub-system and into the room. If a first set of control conditions is met, the air channeling sub-systems is operated in an adiabatic mode. The adiabatic mode includes channeling cooling air through the direct evaporative cooling section to evaporate water into the cooling air. If a second set of control conditions is met, the air channeling sub-system is operated in a hybrid mode. The hybrid mode includes channeling cooling air through the mechanical cooling section to remove heat from the cooling air and channeling the cooling air through the direct evaporative cooling section to evaporate water into the cooling air.
