Abstract: Systems, methods and articles solve queries or database problems through the use of graphs. An association graph may be formed based on a query graph and a database graph. The association graph may be solved for a clique, providing the results to a query or problem and/or an indication of a level of responsiveness of the results. Thus, unlimited relaxation of constraint may be achieved. Analog processors such as quantum processors may be used to solve for the clique.

Abstract: The invention relates to substituted pyrazinoylguanidine compounds. These compounds are useful as sodium channel blockers, and may be effective in treating a variety of conditions including chronic bronchitis and cystic fibrosis.

Abstract: A mapping and ablation catheter is described. In one embodiment, the catheter includes a MOSFET sensor array that provides better fidelity of the signal measurements as well as data collection and reduces the error generated by spatial distribution of the isotropic and anisotropic wavefronts. In one embodiment, the system maps the change in potential in the vicinity of an activation wavefront. In one embodiment, the mapping system tracks the spread of excitation in the heart, with properties such as propagation velocity changes. In one embodiment, during measurement, the manifold carrying the sensor array expands from a closed position state to a deployable open state. Spatial variation of the electrical potential is captured by the system's ability to occupy the same three-dimensional coordinate set for repeated measurements of the desired site. In one embodiment, an interpolation algorithm tracks the electrogram data points to produce a map relative to the electrocardiogram data.

Abstract: A controller of a brushless DC electric machine having a rotor and at least a stator winding powered by a driving voltage is provided. The controller includes a position sensor, an advance angle control circuit, and a driving circuit. The position sensor is moved along a reverse rotating direction of the rotor by a prepositioned angle for outputting a position signal. The advance angle control circuit receives the position signal and a driving voltage reproduction signal reproduced from the driving voltage and outputs a commutation control signal lagging the position signal by a first delay time. The driving circuit receives the commutation control signal for outputting a driving signal for controlling a commutation of the brushless DC electric machine.

Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for producing hot water without a flame. The system and method heats water to at least a specified temperature without a flame by providing a source of water and a prime mover, pumping water from the source of water into one or more heat exchangers, pre-heating the water using the one or more heat exchangers, heating the pre-heated water to at least the specified temperature without a flame using a dynamic heat generator driven by the prime mover, using the heated water in the one or more heat exchangers to pre-heat the water and providing the heated water to an output.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preventing a problem of collision between an optical system and a media by suggesting a method for confirming the kind of the medium prior to its operation in a drive having a compatibility with respect to a method for storing a near field optical information using SIL and a method for storing a remote field optical information below the existing blu-ray disk. The present invention can distinguish from an inserted optical disk if a compatible drive/pickup is in a near-field method, and confirm if the inserted optical disk is operable in a near-field method drive/pickup in advance, also.

Abstract: An audio and video editing system is disclosed. The editing system uses a displayable object document that comprises: (i) a verbal transcript of an audio recording (e.g., a stored version of a recorded interview, etc.), and (ii) one or more hyperlinks into one or more video recordings, where each video recording is a stored version of a video recording (e.g., of a participant in a interview, etc.). Each hyperlink in the object document associates a portion of the stored video recording with a hyperlink caption in the object document. Each time code that appears in the object document is a hyperlink caption that points to a different portion of the video recording. A user can access a desired portion of the video recording by selecting the associated hyperlink caption in the object document.

Abstract: An elastic power header device and methods of operation are provided to improve the read margin of static random access memory (SRAM) cells by increasing read stability, reducing read disturbance and improving the Signal to Noise Margin (SNM) figure of merit. For example, various implementations of an elastic power header device are utilized as programmable resistances to permit the power supply lines to reach a maximum voltage. Allowing the power supply lines to reach the reference voltage allows more flexibility in read margin and read stability. Furthermore, this additional flexibility can be controlled by means for adjusting a voltage. This adjustment voltage can fine-tune the programmable resistances so that the read margin can be more conveniently controlled.

Abstract: A Method and Apparatus for Enhancing the Speed of Wideband Signal Search Systems provides a system that can perform hyper fast scanning for signals while at the same time provide very good phase noise performance. The method and apparatus provide a way to reduce costs by avoiding the expensive solutions employed by the unmodified prior systems. The method and apparatus have all of the abilities of standard wideband signal collection systems. Secondly the method and apparatus are able to automatically, and extremely quickly, control multiple VCO's in a finely coordinated tuning process. Thirdly, the method and apparatus still have very good phase noise performance, even though it has hyper fast tuning speeds. Fourthly, the preferred method and apparatus pipeline the digitization and tuning phases of the collection process.

The method also includes selecting an advertisement content unit to be added to the personal media space for display by the user. The method further includes establishing a communication session between the user and another user. The communication session includes an interaction space for enabling communication between the user and the other user.

In one aspect, the system includes a particle counter and a particle capture filter that are arranged in parallel. In another aspect, the system includes a purifying device to remove trace molecular impurities from a gas feed stream to reduce the presence of impurities.

Abstract: The present invention relates to novel radioactively labeled bioreducible tracers of Formula I useful for detecting hypoxic tumors or ischemic tissue in vivo. In one embodiment, the tracers consist of a 2-nitroimidazole moiety, a triazole, metabolically stable linker with pharmacokinetics enhancing substituents, and a radioisotope. The preferred in vivo imaging modality is positron emission tomography.

Abstract: The log debarking assembly comprises an auto-aligning ring debarker that in turn comprises a base, a movable frame carried by the base and movable relative to the base, a log opening formed in the movable frame, a ring-type cutting tool mounted to the movable frame and protruding in the log opening, the cutting tool for debarking logs that are fed through the log opening, and a powered debarker actuator assembly capable of selectively moving the movable frame relative to the base. The log debarking assembly also comprises a log shape and position detector comprising a scanner located upstream of the debarker for detecting the shape and position of logs at the location of the scanner and for generating log data as a result of detected log shape and position at the location of the scanner; and a control device capable of receiving the log data and of controlling the powered debarker actuator assembly as a result of the log data.

In various examples, the lift assembly includes at least one loft block internal or external relative to the frame. The loft block is configured to guide a cable from the at least one head block to a load. The lift assembly can further include a load brake positioned along the axis of drum rotation to reduce risks associated with a drive or motor failure.

Abstract: A preferred apparatus arrangement utilizes the enthalpy of the flue gas, which can be supplemented if need be, to convert urea (30) into ammonia for SCR. Urea (30), which decomposes at temperatures above 140 .degree. C., is injected (32) into a flue gas stream split off (28) after a heat exchanger (22), such as a primary superheater or an economizer. Ideally, the side stream would gasify the urea without need for further heating; but, when heat is required it is far less than would be needed to heat either the entire effluent (23) or the urea (30). This side stream, typically less than 3% of the flue gas, provides the required temperature and residence time for complete decomposition of urea (30). A cyclonic separator can be used to remove particulates and completely mix the reagent and flue gas. This stream can then be directed to an injection grid (37) ahead of SCR using a blower (36).
