Abstract: A corrective device to be worn on a human foot having a misalignment and positioned inside of footwear. The device having an inner shell having a first material composition and flexibility, and shaped to accommodate receiving therein and supportingly couple with the foot, and an outer shell having a second material composition and flexibility, the second material composition and flexibility being substantially the same as the first flexibility, the outer shell shaped to accommodate receiving therein the inner shell, supportingly couple with the inner shell and allow positioning into the footwear. At least a sufficient portion of a pressure is distributed by the outer shell and the inner shell over a desired area of the foot to provide an amount of correction to the misalignment while allowing the human to wear the inner shell inside of the outer shell inside of the footwear.
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for detecting passing magnetic articles using a first, True Power On State (TPOS) detector during a first time interval and transitioning to a second, running mode detector after the first time interval, when the output of the second detector is accurate. A phase comparator is responsive to the output signal of the first and second detectors and provides a control signal indicative of a change in the phase relationship between the two output signals. An output switch controlled by the phase comparator provides, as the detector output signal, the first detector output signal during the first time interval and the second detector output signal thereafter.

A consumer is directed by the central server to a specific data server from which content is to be extracted. The system is particularly adapt for facilitating the exchange of video data between members of a common group coupled to the Internet.
Abstract: A steering system for a vehicle includes two skis turned by a handlebars gripped by a user. A shaft formed of two sections couples the handlebars to the skis. The sections are angled with respect to one another and coupled to one another by means of a U-joint oriented such that for small rotations from a straight orientation of the handlebars the U-joint transfers a greater force to the skis than for rotations between large angled orientations of a range of angled orientation of the handlebars.
Abstract: This invention relates to organometallic compounds represented by the formula LML? wherein M is a metal or metalloid, L is a substituted or unsubstituted cyclopentadienyl group or cyclopentadienyl-like group, a substituted or unsubstituted pentadienyl group or pentadienyl-like group, or a substituted or unsubstituted pyrrolyl group or pyrrolyl-like group, and L? is a substituted or unsubstituted pyrrolyl group or pyrrolyl-like group, a process for producing the organometallic compounds, and a method for producing a film or coating from the organometallic compounds. The organometallic compounds are useful in semiconductor applications as chemical vapor or atomic layer deposition precursors for film depositions.
Abstract: A process for forming an electronic device can include forming a trench within a substrate, wherein the trench includes a wall and a bottom. The process can also include including forming a portion of discontinuous storage elements that lie within the trench, and forming a first gate electrode within the trench after forming the discontinuous storage elements. At least one discontinuous storage element lies along the wall of the trench at an elevation between an upper surface of the first gate electrode and a primary surface of the substrate. The process can also include forming a second gate electrode overlying the first gate electrode and the primary surface of the substrate.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method of treating glaucoma or ocular hypertension which comprises applying to the eye of a person in need thereof an amount sufficient to treat glaucoma or ocular hypertension of a compound of formula I wherein Y, Q, Z, R, R1 and R2 are as defined in the specification. The present invention further comprises pharmaceutical compositions, e.g. ophthalmic compositions, including said compound of formula I.
Abstract: A system and method is provided for code independent switching in a digital-to-analog converter (DAC). A synchronous digital circuit is triggered by a synchronizing clocking signal and develops a digital data signal. A circuit arrangement provides the synchronizing clock a constant load at every clocking cycle, thereby assuring a data independent load. By providing a data independent load to the synchronizing clock at every clocking cycle, third harmonic distortion is advantageously reduced.
Abstract: A parallel data storage system for storing data received from, or retrieving data to, a host system using multiple data storage devices. The system includes an interface for communicating with the host system and a buffer configured to store data sectors received from the host system via the interface. A switch is used to selectively connect the interface and the data storage devices to the buffer to facilitate the transfer of data into and out of the buffer. The data sectors are transferred by segmenting each sector into multiple smaller data cells and distributing these data cells among the data storage devices using an arbitrated distribution method.
Abstract: A method and system is described wherein an information signals is gated at a frequency that is a sub-harmonic of the frequency of the desired output signal. In the modulation embodiments, the information signal is modulated as part of the up-conversion process. In a first modulation embodiment, one information signal is phase modulated onto the carrier signal as part of the up-conversion process. In a second modulation embodiment, two information signals are multiplied, and, as part of the up-conversion process, one signal is phase modulated onto the carrier and the other signal is amplitude modulated onto the carrier. In a third modulation embodiment, one information signal is phase modulated onto the “I” phase of the carrier signal as part of the up-conversion process and a second information signal is phase modulated onto the “Q” phase of the carrier as part of the up-conversion process.

Abstract: Methods are disclosed for selecting and optimizing an exposure tool using an individual mask error model. In one embodiment, a method includes selecting a model of a lithography process including an optical model of an exposure tool and a resist model, creating an individual mask error model representing a mask manufactured using mask layout data, simulating the lithography process using the model of the lithography process and the individual mask error model to produce simulated patterns, determining differences between the simulated patterns and a design target, and optimizing settings of the exposure tool based on the differences between the simulated patterns and the design target.
Abstract: A method for detecting trace evidence materials on a surface comprises irradiating the surface with radiation from two or more lasers emitting radiation at different wavelengths selected to stimulate luminescence in the trace materials. The evidence is detected by observing the surface through an optical filter arranged to transmit the luminescence, while blocking transmission of the laser radiation wavelengths reflected or scattered from the surface.

Abstract: A pumping voltage generating apparatus includes a detection signal generating unit that generates a detection signal when a pumping voltage is lower than a reference value. A pumping unit elevates a first external voltage by a second external voltage to be output as the pumping voltage, in response to the detection signal. In this case, the second external voltage is lower than the first external voltage.
