Abstract: A hearing aid device adapted for use within the ear canal and of partially exposed in the canal types. This aid allows an air gap to substantially surround the hearing aid shell and air passages which communicate with the inner ear minimizing occlusion sensations and providing the user with an enhanced natural hearing experience. An aspect of this device is the provision of air passages in the mounting insert which securely positions the hearing aid shell in the wearer's canal. These passages are designed to stay open after insertion of the aid in the ear canal. In use, unamplified sound from the outside passes around the hearing aid shell, through the air passages in the mounting insert blending with the amplified sound emanating from the receiver. The area of air passages in the mounting insert can be tailored by the technician adapting to the bearing loss characteristics of the user.
Abstract: To simplify assisting a user in their day-to-day activities, a communication for performing an action may be sent to a user in the form of a query, where the query includes the most likely set of choices for the action arranged in a group of dichotomous (e.g., yes/no) or multiple choice answers. In this manner, a user may respond to the query by simply selecting one of the dichotomous or multiple choice answers. Historical logs of past actions, responses, queries, and so forth, may be used to predict future user actions or needs, and to formulate future queries for sending to the user. These techniques may be implemented, for example, through a remote coordination server or directly through a user's personal electronics device.

Abstract: A smart circuit breaker may provide a smart-circuit-breaker power monitoring signal that includes information about power consumption of devices connected to the smart circuit breaker. The smart-circuit-breaker power monitoring signal may be used in conjunction with power monitoring signals from the electrical mains of the building for providing information about the operation of devices in the building. For example, the power monitoring signals may be used to (i) determine the main of the house that provides power to the smart circuit breaker, (ii) identify devices receiving power from the smart circuit breaker, (iii) improve the accuracy of identifying device state changes, and (iv) train mathematical models for identifying devices and device state changes.

Abstract: A reactor system including a plurality of catalytic modules connected end-to-end, forming a passage for reactants to pass through individually heated catalytic heating elements, thereby producing products. Each catalytic module has an insulating housing containing a catalytic heating element and configured to pass reactants over the catalytic heating element. A conductor in the module applies electricity to the catalytic heating element, which operates as a combined catalytic material and heating element.
Abstract: A vaporizer device may include a controller and a heater control circuitry. The controller may generate, based at least on a temperature of a heating coil in a cartridge coupled with the vaporizer device, an output signal for controlling a discharge of a battery of the vaporizer device. The battery may be discharged to the heating coil to increase the temperature of the heating coil and cause a vaporization of a vaporizable material contained in the cartridge. The heater control circuitry may determine the temperature of the heating coil. The heater control circuitry may further control, based on the output signal from the controller, the discharge of the battery to the heating coil. The heater control circuitry may be powered by a voltage rail coupled to a voltage regulator configured to regulate an output voltage of the battery.

Abstract: The systems and methods perform Bayesian anatomically-driven, artificial-intelligence based intracardiac echocardiography object detection and prediction. The system proposes hypotheses for what features and objects are in view based on prior knowledge informed by previously acquired or generated models. During a cardiac interventional procedure, the system uses a per-frame object identification artificial intelligence (AI); the gathered data is analyzed within a Bayesian framework to create updated posterior prediction(s) of what feature(s) may be predicted (with a computed confidence level) to be in view and their respective location(s). Inferences that pass an accept/reject threshold for object identification and meet minimum threshold settings for temporal stability and spatial location are used to display labels and boundaries. The system predicts what features and objects are in-frame, where out-of-frame objects/features may be located, and how to navigate to them.
Abstract: According to one aspect of the technical idea of the present disclosure, a method of operating a node device in an open radio access network (O-RAN) is disclosed, including receiving messages related to a user-plane from at least one south-node device, and determining combining operation timing of the messages in an extended antenna-carrier (eAxC) unit, based on the messages.
Abstract: Some cloud gaming and other remote game environments require a user to wait in a queue before playing a game. During this time, the user may be concerned that they will lose their place in the queue if they close the window displaying the game to do another task on the computing device. If the user decides to do something away from the computing device while waiting in the queue, it is possible that the user will be unaware when they progress out of the queue and miss their opportunity to play the game. This can be a frustrating experience for the user. The embodiments presented herein can be used to address this situation.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for suppressing noise from audio signal uses both statistical noise estimation and neural network noise estimation to achieve more desirable noise reduction. The method is performed by a noise suppression computer software application running on an electronic device. The noise suppression computer software application first transforms the speech signal in time domain into frequency domain before determining a statistical noise estimate and a neural network noise estimate. The noise suppression computer software application merges the two noise estimates to derive a final noise estimate, and determines and refines a noise suppression filter. The filter is applied to the speech signal in frequency domain to obtain an enhanced signal. The enhanced signal is transformed back into time domain.
