  • Publication number: 20190361253
Abstract: Disclosed are high-density energy directing devices and systems thereof for two-dimensional, stereoscopic, light field and holographic head-mounted displays. In general, the head-mounted display system includes one or more energy devices and one or more energy relay elements, each energy relay element having a first surface and a second surface. The first surface is disposed in energy propagation paths of the one or more energy devices and the second surface of each of the one or more energy relay elements is arranged to form a singular seamless energy surface. A separation between edges of any two adjacent second surfaces is less than a minimum perceptible contour as defined by the visual acuity of a human eye having better than 20/40 vision at a distance from the singular seamless energy surface, the distance being greater than the lesser of: half of a height of the singular seamless energy surface, or half of a width of the singular seamless energy surface.

  • Publication number: 20190363871
Abstract: An encryption method is provided. According to the encryption method, a scaling factor may be reflected in a message and then, a homomorphic ciphertext may be generated using a public key. The generated ciphertext is, when decryption is performed, generated in a form that a result value obtained by adding an error value to a value obtained by reflecting the scaling factor in the message is restored. Accordingly, a homomorphic ciphertext capable of being computed in a ciphertext state can be effectively generated.

  • Patent number: 10491806
Abstract: Various features for allowing a user to control a camera in an intuitive manner are described. Various features allow a user to control one or more camera settings via a touch screen. In some embodiments a rotating wheel is simulated on the display screen to show user selectable camera setting values with the values being displayed as if on the surface of the wheel with a currently selected value being closest to the user, e.g., in the center, and values above and below the currently selected value being shown using a smaller size as if further away from the user. A current setting for the feature being controlled is displayed near the center of the screen in some embodiments. A currently selected value is sometimes shown larger than other user selectable settings. The camera settings include an ISO setting, a focal length, e.g., zoom setting, and/or an exposure control setting.

  • Patent number: 10489854
Abstract: The present invention involves a system and method for coordinating the centralization of the submission of requests for offers for credit and receipt of offers for credit between an internet user and a plurality of lending institutions via the internet. This method involves the use of a single offer request form, which is the combination of required lender information from consumer credit processes, and the receipt of information from the user, and various semi-automated online processes, to populate that single offer request form. After receiving this data, a special computer, or server, sorts the information and applies a filter to the data. The filter prepares that information for submission to lending institutions so that the lending institution may process the information and make a decision as to whether to offer the internet user credit.

  • Patent number: 10479020
Abstract: This disclosure describes various methods and apparatus for characterizing an additive manufacturing process. A method for characterizing the additive manufacturing process can include generating scans of an energy source across a build plane; measuring an amount of energy radiated from the build plane during each of the scans using an optical sensor; determining an area of the build plane traversed during the scans; determining a thermal energy density for the area of the build plane traversed by the scans based upon the amount of energy radiated and the area of the build plane traversed by the scans; mapping the thermal energy density to one or more location of the build plane; determining that the thermal energy density is characterized by a density outside a range of density values; and thereafter, adjusting subsequent scans of the energy source across or proximate the one or more locations of the build plane.

  • Patent number: 10484473
Abstract: A distributed data storage system is provided for offering shared data to one or more clients. In various embodiments, client systems operate on shared data while having a unique writeable copy of the shared data. According to one embodiment, the data storage system can be optimized for various use cases (e.g., read-mostly where writes to shared data are rare or infrequent (although writes to private data may be frequent. Some implementations of the storage system are configured to provide fault tolerance and scalability for the shared storage. For example, read-only data can be stored in (relatively) high latency, low cost, reliable storage (e.g. cloud), with multiple layers of cache supporting faster retrieval. In addition, some implementations of the data storage system offer a low-latency approach to data caching. Other embodiments improve efficiency with access modeling and conditional execution cache hints that can be distributed across the data storage system.
