Abstract: A cord lock having a first movable pin at one side of the cord, the other side of the cord being supported by a fixed pin, the movable pin pinching or clamping the cord against the fixed pin. The movable pin has toothed end portions and splines in the central portion. The toothed end portions mesh with racks within a housing to maintain a constant attitude for the moving pin and the splines engage the cords. A rectangular guide slides into the open end of the headrail with a first molded plastic part fitting over the open end of the headrail and end of the guide. The cord lock housing fits onto the molded plastic part and is free to rotate within the part providing self adjustment of the cord during use.

Abstract: Movement of a wing frame to folded position moves a locking member into position to be engaged by the arm which actuates the wheels to lowered position. When engaged, the lock prevents the wheels from being raised. To disengage the lock the wing must be unfolded first to enable the locking lever to rise out of the way when the arm is actuated to disengage the lock. The entire operation is controlled hydraulically and the farmer need not get off his tractor to lock or unlock the rig.

Abstract: A multi-compartment envelope for coupon nesting includes a rectangular blank having first, second and third spaced parallel scorelines defining first, second, third and fourth rectangular interconnected panels. A fold in the fourth panel provides a first panel portion and a second panel portion with the second panel portion being secured to the first panel portion and thereby providing a compartment. A slit is disposed in the compartment and divides the compartment into a first and a second compartment. A first and a second contoured slit are disposed, at least in part, in the first panel and provide a pair of wafer tabs. The first panel is in overlying relation with the second panel whereby the wafer tabs extend a substantial distance in a first direction away from the first panel.

Abstract: A shower head is disclosed of the type having a pivotally mounted spray head. The shower head comprises a first member adapted for attachment to a water supply pipe and a spray head pivotally mounted to the first member. The first member includes a concave, socket-defining surface with a water supply aperture therein. The spray head has an inner spray body, through which the water flows, and an outer retaining sleeve, which secures the spray body to the first member. To prevent leakage between the spray body and the sleeve, an annular seal is carried by the spray body and slidably engages the concave surface of the first member along a line which encloses the water supply aperture at all pivot positions of the spray head. In the preferred embodiment, the inlet end of the spray body defines a flow-limiting vortex chamber, into which water is directed in a swirling action.

Abstract: There is provided a protein-free and low sodium high stability fat emulsion which comprises on a solid basis, 10 to 75% of an edible fat having an average particle size of 4 microns or less, 0.1 to 3% of an emulsifier, 8 to 20% (based on the fat) of an edible hydrated, substantially undextrinized, lipophilic starch in submicroscopic particle size, and the remainder of the solids being principally a filler. The emulsion may be either a water emulsion or a dry powdered emulsion. The emulsion is prepared by mixing the fat, emulsifier, starch and filler in water. The mixture is cooked at an elevated temperature if the starch has not been previously cooked to hydrate starch. The mixture is sheared such that the fat is divided into an average particle size of 4 microns or less and the starch is dispersed in submicroscopic form. The sheared mixture is then dried to a moisture content of 7% or less. The starch may be dispersed to the submicroscopic particle size either prior to or during the process.

Abstract: A process for permanently imaging data on lottery tickets and the like which comprises of steps of; providing an ink receptive, non-shrinking resinous coating on a webbed coupon substrate and heat curing the same, applying to the ink receptive resinous coating, imaging data by an ink jet printer using a sublimable dye, drying the dye, applying an ultraviolet curable resinous coating over the dye, coating the ultraviolet curable resinous coating by ultraviolet light and further heating the substrate between 275.degree. Fahrenheit and 400.degree. Fahrenheit thereby causing the dye to permanently sublime into the ink receptive resinous coating and the ultraviolet curable resinous coating.

Abstract: There is provided a food-grade modifier comprising a substantially water-insoluble neutralized solid complex precipitate of calcium, phosphorous and at least one amino acid selected from tyrosine, lysine and aspartic acid. Optionally, the complex may include at least one further amino acid selected from tryptophan and phenylalanine. The modifier effects stabilization, suspension, emulsification and the like in food or non-food compositions, e.g. for providing a whipped topping. The process comprises precipitating the complex from a specifically neutralized medium containing the amino acid, calcium and phosphorous.

Abstract: A drive control apparatus interconnects with a venetian blind slat ladder assembly for positioning the blind slats at any desired angular relationship and includes a detent that is moved during slat positioning and when a limit stop is reached exerts a back pressure onto the drive apparatus. When the back pressure exceeds a predetermined amount, this causes the drive shaft to overcome a retarding leaf spring pressure and thereby slip rather than drive the slat ladders.

Abstract: A toilet seat hinge has elongated male connector portions provided with saw-toothed shaped upper and lower surfaces which are inserted in female openings in the rear surface of a soft toilet seat and a soft toilet seat cover. The male connector portions lockingly engage with lock lugs provided in a rigid molded bed plate in the seat and cover to prevent retention so that the hinge is permanently connected to the seat and cover following insertion of the male connector member. Another aspect of the invention resides in a novel molding method in which two movable mold components provide openings extending both vertically and horizontally in a molded item.

Abstract: This is a molding apparatus designed to mold a plastic tub of circular transverse cross-section and re-entrant shape. Specifically, the tub tapers from its closed bottom to its opened top. The mold core is, therefore, collapsed radially to permit extraction of the plastic tub from the mold. This radial collapse is accomplished by forming the mold core of a central segment and a plurality of peripheral segments, and then axially extending the central segment while moving the peripheral segments along a radially inward path so that core collapse occurs. The exterior shape of the peripheral core segments defines a circular cross-sectional shape for the interior of the tub, despite the fact that the central core segment has the configuration of a hexagonal pyramid. Side mold segments which move radially outwardly and a tub extraction ram complete the equipment for extracting the tub from the mold.

Abstract: An electronic ballast-inverter for multiple fluorescent lamps employs a push-pull inverter and a series resonant circuit for driving the lamps. The inverter operates at the resonant frequency of the series resonant circuit. The current in the resonant circuit is limited, for low load conditions, in response to a sensing voltage which is used to raise the frequency of operation of the inverter to make the load more reactive.

Abstract: A horizontal cone dispenser adapted for dispensing fragile edible-type cones in which the stack of cones is supported in a horizontal stack tray for lengthwise movement toward a dispensing outlet having resilient cone retaining fingers for engaging the outer wall of the end cone in the stack to releasably retain end cone. The stack of cones is advanced toward the dispensing outlet by a follower that is urged horizontally toward the dispensing outlet with a low substantially constant-force provided by the coiled band constant-force springs. The stack tray is mounted in a horizontal drawer which can be pulled out to facilitate loading of the stack of cones.

Abstract: A machine for mixing and cooling batches of dry powder ingredients and water comprising, a horizontal mixing cylinder open at one end and having a rotary mixer in the cylinder. Refrigerating mechanism is provided for cooling the walls of the cylinder and for maintaining the mixing cylinder temperature in a range below 45.degree. F. and above 32.degree. F., a door for closing said one end of the cylinder. The mixing cylinder has a dry powder ingredient inlet passage extending through the cylindrical side wall at the top of the cylinder at a location spaced from said one end. The door has a mix dispensing outlet communicating with the lower portion of the cylinder and a dispensing valve for controlling flow through the dispensing outlet and the door has a water inlet communicating with the upper portion of the cylinder and a funnel at the outside of the door extending upwardly to a level above the cylinder.
