    Abstract: A mini smart card and a method of manufacturing the mini smart card are introduced. The method includes disposing bilayered print layers on a top side and a bottom side of a circuit layer, respectively; performing a heat-compression treatment and then a printing treatment on the circuit layer and the bilayered print layers; removing surface layers from the bilayered print layers; and disposing transparent protective layers on the bilayered print layers, respectively. The bilayered print layers are prevented from deforming under the heat generated during the printing treatment. Removal of the surface layers from the bilayered print layers effectively reduces the thickness of the mini smart card.

    Abstract: A fingerprint recognition smart card has a card body, a transaction processing unit, a switch unit, and a fingerprint recognition unit. The transaction processing unit is disposed at the card body. The switch unit is disposed at the card body and circuit-connected to the transaction processing unit. The fingerprint recognition unit is disposed at the card body and circuit-connected to the transaction processing unit and the switch unit. Therefore, after the transaction processing unit has received external power, the fingerprint recognition unit receives and analyzes a cardholder's fingerprint data such that, depending on an analysis result of the fingerprint data, the switch unit starts the transaction processing unit for conducting a transaction with a reading apparatus or shuts down the transaction processing unit to preclude any transaction. Therefore, the fingerprint recognition smart card enhances transaction safety and convenience.

When making a contactless transaction, approach the card body to a read module and the contactless RF antenna of the power supply unit reads electromagnetic wave from the read module and gets induced electric current to enable the transaction. When making a contact transaction, insert the card body into a card reader for the latter to read the contact communication unit and enable the transaction. During the transaction, the transaction display unit will output a transaction message as a notice.

    Abstract: In a SIM card structure, there are included a carrier substrate and a plurality of chips. The carrier substrate is provided at a central area with at least two parallelly arranged first weakening lines, and at two laterally opposite areas with a group of equally spaced second weakening lines each. The second weakening lines in each group are perpendicularly extended from one of the first weakening line toward one lateral edge of the carrier substrate, such that a plurality of card bodies is defined on the carrier substrate. Each of the card bodies is provided at a predetermined position with a receiving area for one of the chips to attach thereto and thereby forms a SIM card. Less material and storage room are needed for manufacturing and storing the card bodies, respectively. And, each of the SIM cards can be conveniently separated from the carrier substrate for use.
