Abstract: A handle assembly include right and left straps secured to a handle, the right and left straps each have first magnetic elements secured thereto. A case has second magnetic elements mounted thereto, such mounted to the case with a portion of the right or left strap secured between itself and the case. The magnetic attraction between the first and second magnetic elements draws the handle toward the case. The case may define a recess such that the handle is drawn into the recess and does not protrude.

Abstract: A handle assembly includes a sheath mounted to a corner of a suitcase. Telescoping shafts secure within the sheath and have non-round shapes to prevent rotation, such as a hexagonal shape. A handle secures to an end shaft of the telescoping shafts and extends perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the telescoping shafts. A latching mechanism mounts to the sheaths and engages each shaft of the telescoping shafts when they are retracted. The latching mechanism engages a middle shaft of the telescoping shafts when extended. A detent engages between the telescoping shafts when extended and resists insertion of the end shaft into the middle shaft. The handle assembly may be mounted to one of two lids on left and right sides a suitcase with the handle being mounted to one of the lids.

Abstract: An improved mount for receiving a padlock to securely enclose a case includes a pair of aligned holes and aligned indentations formed in the lid and the container body. The padlock mount includes a saddle formed between one of the holes and indentations, with a peripheral sidewall to restrict rotational movement of a padlock shackle. A padlock receptacle receives the padlock body in a recessed area to protect it against damage and restrict movement.

Abstract: Universal wraps are used in the construction of a container centerbody. The wraps may take the form of a top and bottom wrap with complementary stacking patterns, in which the wraps create the centerbody. The wraps permit stacking of different-style containers regardless of which container is positioned as the bottom container. The universal wraps may include curved edge portions to seamlessly and aesthetically blend in with a side panel of the container. The stacking patterns of the wraps may take different forms with various shaped protuberances and recessed portions. Further, one or more of the wraps may have isolation features attached to or integrally formed with an interior surface of the wrap.

Abstract: An improved mount for receiving a padlock to securely enclose a case includes a pair of aligned holes and aligned indentations formed in the lid and the container body. The padlock mount includes a saddle formed between one of the holes and indentations, with a peripheral sidewall to restrict rotational movement of a padlock shackle. A padlock receptacle receives the padlock body in a recessed area to protect it against damage and restrict movement.

The post inserts through an aperture in the spar. A stop is selectively securable to the post over the second side of the base. A locking member engages the post on the first side of the base. A biasing member encircles the post and is positioned between the stop and the second side. When the locking member is in a closed position the biasing member expands to engage the aperture and resist movement of the wing spar. A plurality of cradles may support the wing.

Abstract: A lid for a transit case includes alignment features such as protuberances and alignment guides that cooperate to permit multiple lids to be stacked in a stable configuration and in a space efficient manner one on top of another. The lids may take the form of deep-profile lids and low-profile lids. In addition, the lids may include features for receiving and securing extra latch assemblies or other hardware on an interior surface of the lid.

Abstract: A system is disclosed including at least one indexing stub secured to a fuselage in the place of one or more wing stubs and including indexing members protruding from opposite sides of the fuselage. A pair of receivers are mounted to a container and define channels to receive the indexing members. The channels may include an upper flared portion and a lower straight portion. The indexing members are lowered into the channels and the flared portions guide the indexing members into the straight portions. In some embodiments, a pair of clamping members are configured to selectively lock the indexing members within the channels. The indexing members may have a cylindrical shape and may be rotatably mounted to the at least one indexing stub.

Abstract: A container includes a sealing system coupled to an interior surface of the container's lid or cover. The sealing system includes a rotatable latch that, when rotated, cooperates with a number of gears to and a cam assembly formed in the lid to actuate a number of arms or links. In one embodiment, some of the arms extend approximately radially from a driven gear and operate to move an engagement member of the sealing assembly into contact with a complementary engagement member coupled to a base portion of the container. This engagement, in turn, compresses a seal or gasket located between the lid portion and the base portion of the container.

When lifting the container, the handle is rotated from a stored position and mechanically halted in a lifting position with interlocking complementary stops coupled to the handle portion and baseplate, respectively. In one embodiment, the stops include complementarily angled surfaces that are placed in interlocking bearing contact when the handle portion is in the lifting position. A biasing member coupled to the handle portion and engaged with the baseplate biases the handle portion toward the stored position.
