Abstract: Control or repellency of bed bugs by bringing the bed bugs into contact with a bed bug control formulation containing at least one compound selected from the group consisting of certain alkyl ketones and cyclic ketones wherein the total number of carbon atoms in the alkyl ketones and cyclic ketones is from 10 to 16 carbon atoms and method for achieving such control or repellency.
Abstract: Compounds of the formula (I) wherein R2 is a branched or unbranched, saturated or ethylenically mono or di unsaturated aliphatic radical, Z is —CH2OH, —CH2OAc or —CHO, m is a whole positive integer of one or more, and Ac is an acetyl group are synthesized by a process wherein a 1-alken-3-yl alkylate, is reacted with a halo alkanol Grignard reagent.
Abstract: The present invention provides compounds useful for preparing synthetic pheromone compositions that can be used as attractants or inhibitors of insect species. The compositions are useful in the control of navel orangeworm or meal moth insect pests.

Abstract: Perfume or fragrance compositions containing arbozol to provide a very fresh, outdoor ocean air, woody and ozony odor with a slight cooling effect. The presence of arbozol in such compositions lifts woody and citrus notes, blends and soften harsh notes while imparting a freshness to such compositions and provides improved fixation properties and is excellent as a musk modifier on evaporation or dry-down and modifier of background notes.
