The driving method of the display panel includes: obtaining an input image that is to be displayed; determining a display picture corresponding to the plurality of display pixels of the display screen according to the input image; determining a first dimming picture corresponding to the plurality of dimming pixels of the dimming screen according to the input image, and processing the first dimming picture to obtain a second dimming picture; providing the display picture to make the dimming screen perform backlight modulation on the display screen according to the second dimming picture, and providing the second dimming picture to make the display screen display the input image according to the display picture.
