Abstract: In methods of and apparatus for managing lubrication of equipment, particulars of equipment requiring lubrication are stored on a computer-readable storage medium. The particulars include at least a desired frequency of scheduled lubrication. A computer provides from the stored particulars a report of scheduled lubrication due. The computer receives information of a specific lubrication having been carried out. The stored particulars are updated to include at least one of when the specific lubrication was carried out and when the specific lubrication is next due in accordance with the desired frequency. In other methods, the report is received, specific lubrication is carried out, and the information of a specific lubrication having been carried out is returned to the computer.
Abstract: The surface of cutters for dentistry is rendered passive to electroplating by immersion in a concentrated aqueous solution of nitric acid for a certain period of time. This is followed by painting a length including the surface marked out by the slots, the surface inside the slots and the surface at the tip, using an electrically insulating paint resistant to acids. Each cutter is then ground using a grinding wheel with rotating disk having an abrasive edge shaped like the continuous profile of the painted surface. Grinding removes the paint together with a micrometric layer of metal from the surface except for that inside the slots. The shank is ground and painted for a length adjacent to the slots.
Abstract: The invention concerns an element including: 1 sheet (1) including an intermediate zone (29) located between two zones designed to form side walls (9, 11), the intermediate zone (29) being designed to form a flap folded along the tip against one first (9) of the side walls, and elements (51a, 51b) for guiding tears in the sheet (1) the elements forming a single pull tab (58) to cause tears, the pull tab (58) being, in the intermediate zone, spaced apart from the media axis (A) of the zone designed to form the base (3). The invention is, for example, applicable to packaging of melted cheese.
Abstract: Information used for creating an adsorption isostere of a substance to be measured in a measuring system (container) is obtained by repeating alternately a first control step of changing temperature or pressure of the measuring system by a fixed amount by adjusting a gas amount supplied to/discharged from the measuring system, and a second control step of changing pressure or temperature of the measuring system by adjusting the gas amount supplied to/discharged from the measuring system until a gas adsorption amount of the substance to be measured becomes the same as before execution of the first control step.
Abstract: A modular connector plug for high speed applications includes a wire guide filter at least partially situated in the conductor-receiving cavity of the housing of the plug. The wire guide filter includes an impedance containing portion comprising a longitudinally extending body having a plurality of longitudinally extending passageways and an internal cable guide portion comprising a longitudinally extending body defining a plurality of longitudinally extending passageways.
Abstract: A power supply for an LED lamp has a set of coupled coils, primary-side power circuitry including a converter power switch for conducting input power, and secondary-side power circuitry including a dimming power switch. Power control circuitry includes converter control circuitry which generates a converter control signal for the converter power switch to maintain a desired undimmed level of lamp current at a normal operating value of a lamp voltage. Dimming control circuitry generates a dimming control signal for the dimming power switch to pulse-width modulate the lamp current at a duty cycle corresponding to a desired dimming. Operation of the converter control circuitry is modified during dimming to prevent an automatic increase of the lamp voltage in response to a decrease in lamp current, avoiding undesirable overshooting of the lamp current and providing more accurate and effective control over dimming operation.
Abstract: The present invention provides a magnetic sink strainer with at least one magnet securely attached to the strainer, to create a magnetic field. The invention also provides a magnetic sink strainer made of a magnetized material to provide a magnetic field. The magnetic sink strainer is firmly placed over a standard sink drain and functions to capture and retain objects that are attracted by a force as a result of being subjected to the magnetic field. This prevents such objects from accidentally being discarded into the sink drain. The magnetic sink strainer also includes at least one slit to enable fluids and other non-magnetic substances to easily and rapidly flow down to the sink drain.

Abstract: Method of producing a cheese, according to which: a cheese curd is prepared; from the cheese curd there is prepared an intermediate cheese body; a first treatment at a temperature of from 40 to 90° C. is carried out on the cheese body; a texturizing treatment is carried out at the temperature of the first treatment in order to obtain a textured body; the textured body is subjected to a second heat treatment by ohmic heating at a temperature of from 80 to 140° C. for from 10 seconds to 5 minutes; the body obtained is cooled to a temperature below 100° C. in order to obtain a cheese; and the cheese is packaged.
Abstract: An electrical device is produced by winding wires around a core. The device may be used as a transformer. Wires are inserted into, through and around a first hole and a first side of a core a desired number of times. Thereafter, the wires are extended along either a top or a bottom of the core and then passed through and around a second hole of the core. After the wires are wound around the second hole of the core and a second side of the core, the production of the device is complete.
Abstract: The present invention provides a sample container holder for securely holding sample containers of various shapes and sizes. The holder comprises a base having at least one slot extending from an upper portion of the base to a lower portion of the base. The holder further comprises at least one retainer inserted into the slot creating at least a partial enclosed area on the base to accommodate the sample container.

Abstract: A magnetic interface circuit for interfacing between the line side and the circuit side of a communication channel, such as an Ethernet port, includes a transformer having a primary winding connected to the line side of the channel and a secondary winding connected to the circuit side of the channel. The primary winding is fortified to provide differential mode electrical surge protection on the line side. The transformer design having parasitic L, C and R and, saturation during the surge event, acting to suppress the coupling of the electrical surge to the secondary winding. A voltage limiting device is connected in the circuit side of the channel to limit any voltage surges on the circuit side to a safe level. A pair of voltage limiting devices connected in series with the connection therebetween connected to ground may be used to also provide common mode surge protection.
