    Abstract: A magnetizer for magnetographic inspection of articles comprises a main electromagnet, an auxiliary electromagnet, and a power supply unit for the windings of the electromagnets. The auxiliary electromagnet is offset with respect to the central zone of the magnetic field established by the main electromagnet, in a direction perpendicular to that of the magnetic lines of force of the main electromagnet, and is mounted for changing its position.
