Abstract: A tape player with a built-in radio for a car, includes a station selection circuit and a tape scanning circuit. A single group of preset switches for selecting a desired station as well as a desired piece of music recorded on the tape is connected to both circuits. A change-over switch is provided for selectively changing over from one of the station selection circuit and tape scanning circuit, to the other. A switching circuit such as a gate circuit, for rendering one circuit inoperative and placing the other in a waiting state for operation in response to the change-over operation of the change-over switch, is also provided, so that manipulation of each preset switch of the group of preset switches, operates either the station selection circuit or the tape scanning circuit, which is kept in the waiting state for operation. The change-over switch is activated by loading a tape, to switch from the station selection circuit to the tape scanning circuit.
Abstract: A container for receiving a cassette of a cassette tape player houses a movable plate which is adapted to be moved, compressing a spring, by the cassette as the latter is inserted. A container driving plate is provided for moving the container to the playing position by the force of a spring. A locking plate is so associated with the movable plate and the container driving plate that one of these plates is locked by the locking plate by the operation of the other, while the other is released from the locking plate. A slide plate is adapted to be held by a solenoid through a retaining member when the solenoid is energized. However, the slide plate is released as the solenoid is deenergized, so as to urge the movable plate, thereby to make the latter eject the cassette from the container. Thus, the slide plate corresponds to the eject lever in the conventional cassette loading and unloading device.
Abstract: A tape recorder of the auto-reverse type wherein all the tape drives including the constant-speed drive of a tape, the rapid drive thereof, and the change-over between the normal and reverse drives are executed by means of a single capstan employing a single motor as its drive source. All the reel rest drives including the constant-speed drives of reel rests, the rapid drive thereof, the change-over between the normal and reverse drives to be made following the tape drives by the capstan are executed by means of a single idler employing the single motor as its drive source. All the tape controls are achieved by the use of the single capstan, the single idler and the single motor. The change of direction of rotation of the single idler and capstan, is effected by a normal-reverse change-over of the single motor. The operation of alternately bringing the single idler into engagement with or disengagement from the reel rests is attained by the turning force of the normal - reverse change-over of the motor.
Abstract: A citizens band transceiver assembly to be mounted on a motorcycle, or other similar vehicle, is provided which includes a bracket having a continuous tubular member configured to enclose a rectangular area, the bracket further having a base on which the tubular member is mounted, and a plurality of suction cups mounted on the underside of the base to mount the bracket on the top of the gasoline tank of the motorcycle. Belt fasteners are also secured to the base to receive the ends of a belt looped around under the gas tank, and which serves as a further support for the bracket on the motorcycle. A transceiver unit itself is supported on the tubular member by a hook and hand-operated lock which permit the unit to be held securely in place on the bracket, and yet to be readily removed from the bracket, when so desired.
