A worktable in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention may include a cast iron router top having a top surface defining a flanged opening, a router insert plate adjustably mounted within the flanged opening, and a support structure adapted to support the router top. The worktable can be configured for use as a stand-alone router table, or in conjunction with one or more additional worktable top members such as a table saw, band saw, jointer, and power sander.

    Abstract: Devices and systems for adjustably positioning a router on a work surface such as a router table are disclosed. A router lift in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes a top plate having an opening therethrough adapted to receive a router bit, one or more columns extending from the bottom surface of the top plate, a router housing operatively coupled to the one or more columns, and a power screw threadably connected through the top plate and housing. The housing may include a generally circular portion defining a cylindrical aperture that can be adjusted to accommodate for various router sizes. The housing may also include cooling fins to dissipate heat generated from the router. A calibration dial having a scale that can be used to measure elevation of the router and router bit relative to the top plate may also be used.

    Abstract: A miter gauge apparatus for use on a work surface having an alignment track is disclosed. The miter gauge apparatus may include a guide bar adapted to slidably fit within an alignment track, a miter housing secured to the guide bar, a fence mount configured to rotate about the entire periphery of the miter housing, and an expandable fence. The miter housing may include a disc assembly comprising an upper plate, a lower plate, and a slot therebetween. A cam post slidably disposed within the slot can be configured to fit within a cam post aperture disposed on the fence mount. A cam pin disposed within the fence mount can be engaged within an opening on the cam post to releasably secure the fence mount to the miter housing.

    Abstract: A blade changing tool for changing a table saw blade having a cutting blade. The table saw has a top surface and at least a portion of the blade is disposed above the top surface. The blade changing tool includes a housing having a top and two oppositely disposed sides defining a blade slot therebetween. The blade slot is dimensioned such that the slot can conceal at least a substantial portion of the blade edge disposed above the top surface of the table. A projection extends transversely from at least one of the sides to retain the housing from rotation relative to the table. The tool can include apparatus for retaining the blade against rotation relative to the housing.
