Publication number: 20100257565Abstract: A mobile communication appliance (10) sets up a connection to a coordination device (20) via a first mobile radio link (12, 21). This is used to register a request for participation in a radio-based video chat. The mobile communication appliance (10) receives a participation confirmation and records a video signal. The latter is transmitted to a video server (30) via a second mobile radio link (13) for storage. Finally, the mobile communication appliance (10) transmits a message to the coordination device (20), with the message containing a reference to the video signal stored on the video server (30). This reference is forwarded to a transmission station (40), from which the video signal is broadcast as a radio signal (45).Type: ApplicationFiled: January 15, 2007Publication date: October 7, 2010Applicant: BENQ MOBILE GMBH & CO. OHGInventor: Carlos Lucas

Publication number: 20100013814Abstract: The invention relates to an LCD circuit and a method for triggering at least one pixel (3) of a liquid crystal display (LCD) in order to optionally apply a voltage (V) between a first and a second electrode (1, 2), between which a layer (4) of liquid crystals is arranged. The pixel (3) switches into a non-transparent state when a voltage (V) is applied whose value is greater than or equal to the value of a threshold voltage (VD, VD?) between the electrodes (1, 2), a sensor voltage (VS) which changes across a sensor period (T) being applied to at least one of the electrodes (1; 1, 2) as said voltage (V) or part of said voltage (V) in order to generate a sensor signal for detecting an object (5) approaching the pixel (3).Type: ApplicationFiled: May 4, 2007Publication date: January 21, 2010Applicant: BenQ Mobile GmbH & Co. OHGInventor: Alexander Jarczyk

Publication number: 20090219215Abstract: A multiple resonant antenna unit (AT2) comprises a current feed area (SPI) from which only a single, spiral-like antenna branch (AZI) emanates. The total course of this spiral-like antenna branch (AZI) forms a first resonant antenna structure for a low frequency range and at least one partial section (SE15) inside the total course of this spiral-like antenna structure (AZI) forms a second resonant antenna structure for a higher frequency range.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 18, 2006Publication date: September 3, 2009Applicant: BENQ MOBILE GMBH & CO. OHGInventors: Stefan Huber, Michael Schreiber

Publication number: 20070222953Abstract: A projection system including a light source, such as laser light source, wherein a projection light beam is generated by means of an oscillating mirror starting from the light source. At least one light sensor is provided in the marginal zone of the projection light beam for detecting the position of the oscillating mirror.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 7, 2004Publication date: September 27, 2007Applicant: BENQ MOBILE GMBH & CO. OHGInventors: Gerhard Bock, Gunter Schrepfer, Marco Werner

Publication number: 20070201548Abstract: A system and method for interference cancellation of received data via a communication channel in a cellular communication system having corresponding channel impulse response coefficients. Linear filtering of the received data is performed and thereafter a non-linear detection is executed to get detected data by non-linear signal processing. Filter coefficients are determined for linear pre-filtering of the received data to suppress non-Gaussian interference. The pre-filtered data is further processed by non-linear detection to get detected data.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 25, 2006Publication date: August 30, 2007Applicant: BenQ Mobile GmbH & Co. OHGInventors: Sabah Badri-Hoeher, Peter Hoeher, Claudiu Krakowski, Wen Xu

Publication number: 20070161413Abstract: A radio operated communication terminal includes at least two housing parts which can move in relation to each other. The housing parts move by means of miniature motors. As a result, it is possible to use the constructive configuration thereof for haptic output of events.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 27, 2005Publication date: July 12, 2007Applicants: BENQ MOBILE GMBH & CO OHG, BENQ CORPORATIONInventor: Jorg Schafer

Publication number: 20070089070Abstract: A communication device comprising an input device for inputting text character-by-character from a sequence of characters, a memory device for storing a plurality of reference character sequences of characters and a prediction device for comparing individual ones of the input characters with the reference character sequences and for proposing at least one of the reference character sequences after the inputting of individual input characters of the sequence of characters to be input in the case of a corresponding comparison result. The prediction device compares the input characters with not-immediately-adjacent characters of the reference character sequences. The input device may further a number of syllables or vowels between two input characters of the sequence of characters to be input and the prediction device compares the number of input syllables or vowels with corresponding numbers of syllables or vowels of the reference character sequences.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 30, 2004Publication date: April 19, 2007Applicants: BENQ MOBILE GMBH & CO. OHG, BENQ CORPORATIONInventor: Alexander Jaczyk
