The invention also refers to an air drying lacquer free from solvents comprising said binder composition, siccative, and optionally pigments and other conventional additives.

    Abstract: A dispersing agent for dispersing solid particles in an organic liquid having the composition ##STR1## wherein ##STR2## is the residue of a polyester chain having a molecular weight of at least 1700, derived from a hydroxycarboxylic acid containing 16-22 carbon atoms, ##STR3## is the residue of a mono or polyamide having up to 12 amido bonds, which is amino terminated in both ends and wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are each independently hydrogen or alkyl or alkenyl containing up to 20 carbon atoms; Z is a salt of a carboxylic acid containing 8-18 carbon atoms and a diamine NHR.sub.3 --T--NH.sub.2 wherein T is alkylene or alkenylene containing 2-12 carbon atoms and optionally comprising one or more oxygen or nitrogen bridges and R.sub.3 is hydrogen or alkyl or alkenyl containing up to 20 carbon atoms; Q is a carboxylic acid containing 8-18 carbon atoms or a diamine NHR.sub.3 --T--NH.sub.2, wherein T and R.sub.3 are defined as above. Said dispersing agent can be used for preparing an easily dispersable pigment.

    Abstract: A dispersing agent for solid particles in water, which is a tall oil pitch partially esterified with a polyalkylene glycol mainly composed of ethylene oxide units of a molecular weight of above 600 or a monoester or monoether thereof and optionally also aminated having a residual acid value higher than 3, and a process for preparing said dispersing agent which comprises heating the two reactants at 200.degree.-285.degree. C. for so long that the maximum acid value of the reaction mixture at this temperature is reduced at least 2 units. The dispersing agent can be used to disperse coal particles in water.

The dispersing agents are useful for dispersing pigments and dyes in organic liquids.

    Abstract: A polymeric diamino triazine dispersing agent comprising a compound the essential parts of which area diamino triazine group anda polymer chain having a molecular weight of at least 1000, which compound has been obtained by reacting a diamino triazine and a polymer chain having a molecular weight of at least 1000 with an oxiran containing compound. The dispersing agent comprises compounds of the formulas ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is aryl or alkyl having 1-8 carbon atoms,R.sub.2 is a hydrocarbon radical optionally comprising one or more ether groups and having a molecular weight of less than 200, andR.sub.3 is a polymer chain residue having a molecular weight of at least 1000.The dispersing agent can be used for dispersing solid particles, such as pigment particles, in a non polar solvent.
