    Abstract: A method for treatment of viral infections or tumors, comprising administering a gallium complex of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents hydrogen, a halogen or a sulfono group SO.sub.3 M in which M is a metal ion such as potassium or sodium, and R.sub.2 represents hydrogen, or R.sub.1 is chlorine and R.sub.2 is iodo.
