    Abstract: A gingival retraction cord applicator comprising a substantially cylindrically shaped handle from which extends at one end thereof a loop of gingival retraction cord which is in the shape of a closed loop. The loop is to be placed around the tooth with the cord twisted by turning of the handle in order to decrease the size of the loop and snugly locate the loop on the tooth with the cord then being physically packed between the gum and the tooth.
