Abstract: A scope ring for attaching a rifle scope to a mounting rail of an armament includes a lower component that is attached onto the mounting rail and an upper component that is fastened to the lower component to define and extend along an outer perimeter of a scope ring through-hole that receives and holds the scope. The upper component member extends at least one hundred eighty (180) degrees along the perimeter but is constructed to enable a scope to be received into the scope ring or be removed from the scope ring if the scope ring extends more than one hundred eighty (180) degrees to present a slimmer profile. The upper component can be attached to different compatible lower components that enable the scope ring to define different scope ring heights.

Abstract: A fishing lure or fishing bait for angling includes one or more ball chains that assist in attracting fish to the fishing lure or fishing bait during retrieve and enticing fish to strike the fishing lure or fishing bait. The one or more ball chains can be used to dress the fishing bait or the fishing lure or can be incorporated into the fishing lure or fishing bait. Fishing lures and fishing baits having incorporated ball chain as well as being dressed by ball chain are also disclosed.

A kit for attaching a scope ring to the rail of a mounting rail of an armament includes a pair of scope rings, each scope ring including at least a pair of bases the bases being configured to directly attach the scope ring to the rail at different scope ring heights. The two scope rings can mount the scope at four different scope ring heights. An auxiliary rail can also provided that can attach directly to the rail of the mounting rail. The scope ring attaches directly onto the auxiliary rail to mount the scope ring at a greater scope ring height.

Abstract: A rear-deploying broadhead for an arrow includes a ferrule, a rear deploying blade, and a spring. The ferrule has a slot that receives the blade, the blade movable axially in the slot between a retracted position and extended position that presents blade edges when penetrating a target. A spring disposed on the shank of the broadhead applies a spring force to the blade when the blade is in the retracted position that maintains the blade in the retracted position during arrow flight.

Abstract: A multi-pin archery sight attached to an archery bow includes a number of sighting pins in a housing and connected to adjustment member movably mounted to the housing for angular displacement between a first operating position and a second operating position. The sighting pins are spaced apart along a longitudinal axis defined by the adjustment member. The longitudinal axis may be vertical with respect to the housing when the adjustment member is in the first operating position and inclined from the vertical when the adjustment member is in the second operating position. A top sighting pin is sighted in by positioning the housing with respect to the bow while the adjustment member is in the first operating position. A lower sighting pin is sighted in by moving and fixing the adjustment member to an operating position away from the first operating position towards the second operating position.

Abstract: An expandable broadhead includes blades pivotally mounted on a ferrule for movement between retracted and extended positions, and a cam device that resists initial movement of the blades from their retracted positions towards their extended positions. The cam device can prevent the blades from extending prematurely by contact with leaves, light brush, or the like prior to impacting an intended target.

Abstract: A grip for an archery release includes a clip formed as a coil spring having a cross arm that is pivotally mounted to a plate to enable a cross-arm of the coil spring to be selectively positioned along different sides of the plate to change the orientation of the clip with respect to the grip.

Abstract: An index-finger-type archery release includes a release head, a hook pivotally mounted to a front end of the release head, and a trigger holder also pivotally mounted to the body that engages and resists pivotal movement of the hook while drawing a bowstring. A trigger attached to the body extends from the release head and is pulled by the archer, causing the trigger holder to pivot away from the hook and enabling the hook to pivot and release the bowstring. After release, the archer manually pivots the hook back to its starting position. A snap action of the trigger holder signals the archer that the archery release is again ready to draw a bowstring.

Abstract: A thumb trigger-type archery release includes a trigger that is configured to be pressed by the thumb of an archer to actuate the archery release. The position of the trigger relative to the body of the archery release can be adjusted by the archer via a thumb trigger adjustment mechanism that is part of the archery release. The thumb trigger adjustment mechanism enables fast and convenient positioning of the trigger by loosening and tightening only one fastening member.

Abstract: An index-finger trigger-type archery release includes a bodiless release head having a pair of calipers movably connected with another that extend from an upper end of the release head and at least one of the calipers extends to the lower end of the release head. A trigger operatively connected to the calipers enables the release head to be placed into an opened position from a closed position. The calipers can be pressed together to place the release head back into the closed position.
