Abstract: A wheel sensor (4) comprises sensing means for sensing one or more conditions within a pneumatic tyre (2) of a wheel (1) and an attachment means configured to secure said sensing means to the wheel rim (3); wherein said sensor (4) further comprises an optical sensor (6) pointing towards the inside surface (12) of said tyre (2) for receiving radiation radiated from said inside surface (12); whereby temperature values may be derived representative of said tyre surface temperature.

Abstract: A wiring component includes an array of multiple wires, at least one connector which engages the wires, and at least two layers of a hardened fiber and a filler compound that sandwiches the wires. The areas adjacent to the wires include a filler which immobilizes the wires relative to the layers. In one embodiment at least a portion of the connector is embedded in the filler.
Abstract: A connector and electrical tracks assembly comprises a connector with a plurality of electrical contacts; said connector being connectable to a further connector at a first extremity; said connector being connectable at a second extremity to a circuit board portion with a plurality of electrical tracks; wherein a circuit board portion is located between a first layer of plastic thermosetting composite material of fibre and filler and a second layer of plastic thermosetting composite material of fibre and filler.

Abstract: A wheel sensor which is primarily located outside of a pneumatic tire includes a sensor for sensing one or more conditions within the pneumatic tire of a wheel and a connector configured to secure the sensor to the wheel rim; wherein the connector establishes a link between the medium inside the tire and the sensor; and includes a valve which seals when the sensor is removed from the rim and opens when the sensor is attached to the rim.
