Patents Assigned to Bessey & Sohn GmbH & Co
  • Patent number: 5931447
Abstract: In order to provide a simple and inexpensive laying aid for floor covering elements, in particular ready-made parquet flooring, laminated or floor panels, it is suggested that the laying aid be designed in the form of a belt tensioning device with a belt and have a shaped part on both sides, that each shaped part have a receiving means for the belt, that each shaped part have an arm with a projection which can be fixed at a groove or a tongue of the floor covering elements by engaging in it and around it, respectively, and that when the arm is fixed in such a manner the receiving means be positioned such that the belt is guided by this close to the floor covering elements.

  • Patent number: 5918866
Abstract: To improve a strap clamping device comprising a clamping strap forming an outer loop to wrap around one or several workpieces, and a tightening device for tightening the outer loop to clamp the workpiece or workpieces, such that it is operable in as convenient a way as possible, it is proposed that the tightening device comprise a base element supported on the loop with a guide opening through which the loop is guided, that the tightening device include a pull element, that the pull element and the base element be moveable relative to each other by means of an adjusting device, and that the loop run between the base element and the pull element and engage the pull element such that upon relative movement of the base element and the pull element, the outer loop is tightenable under the effect of a double pulley.

  • Patent number: 5516087
Abstract: In order to improve a clamping device, in particular for clamping workpieces on a machine table, comprising a housing securable in position on a support surface of a carrier by means of an anchoring element, a clamping element movable relative to the housing and having a clamping arm projecting from the housing and a clamping spindle rotatably mounted on the housing for moving the clamping element, such that the housing can be secured in place on the support surface in as simple a manner as possible, it is suggested that a fastening element supported on the housing be movable relative to the housing from a first position into a second position for securing the housing in position, that in the first position the housing be detachable from the support surface and that in the second position the fastening element secure the housing in position on the support surface by acting on the anchoring element with a fastening force.

  • Patent number: 5172895
Abstract: A clamping device includes a first and a second clamping yoke (36, 38), which are mutually adjustable in a plane of movement. The first clamping yoke (36) carries two mounting jaws (82), each having a first angular clamping surface (86), which is arranged at an angle .alpha..sub.1 <180.degree. relative to the other first angular clamping surface and perpendicular to the plane of movement (58), so that the first angular clamping surfaces form a first prismatic workpiece receptable open towards a mounting jaw of the second clamping yoke. Said clamping device also includes a spindle (42), extending parallel to the plane of movement, for adjusting the position of the clamping yokes relative to each other.
