Patents Assigned to Better Agricultural Goals Corporation
  • Patent number: 5538053
Abstract: A vacuum fill system for deaerating flowable materials for storage in a receiving container comprising a hollow tubular container having a generally horizontal axis for receiving and holding flowable material. A vacuum pump or venturi and suitable valving are used to first create a vacuum within the chamber and then to return the chamber to atmospheric pressure instantaneously, thereby compacting the flowable material. An auger extends from the inlet end of the tubular container to the outlet end of the tubular container for moving flowable material into and compacted material out of the tubular container into a receiving container.

  • Patent number: 5275215
Abstract: The present invention is a vacuum fill system for deaerating flowable materials for storage in a container. The vacuum fill system in general has a hollow, cylindrical container connected to a plurality of valves, slide gate valves and a vacuum pump in order to create a vacuum when filled with flowable materials that causes the flowable materials to deaerate and subsequently compact when atmospheric pressure is restored.

  • Patent number: 4340379
Abstract: A reinforced receptacle for bulk materials is constructed from a two-ply plastic tube having a reinforced sheet wrapped and overlapped about the two-ply plastic tube. The reinforced sheet is adhesively secured to the two-ply tube, and the lower end of the two-ply tube is folded and adhesively secured together to form a folded satchel bottom for the receptacle. The upper end of the two-ply tube is gathered and clamped to provide structure for lifting the receptacle.

  • Patent number: 4294079
Abstract: An insulated container (10) and a process for shipping perishable products utilizes a box (16) having a lid (18) with an internal compartment for receiving a quantity of dry ice (32) or other expendable refrigerant. The perishable products, which are prechilled, are packed into the box (16) and are covered with a layer of wet ice (24) and a wet pad (26). As the dry ice (32) sublimates, it freezes the wet pad (26) and refrigerates the box (16) to maintain the products in chilled condition. Secondary refrigeration is provided by the frozen wet pad (26) and layer of ice (24).

  • Patent number: 4113146
Abstract: Disclosed is a receptacle for transporting, storing and dispensing flowable materials. The receptacle has an outer covering formed from a single sheet of material wrapped to form a cylinder with its edges attached together in an overlapping arrangement by double-sided adhesive tape. A polyester filament is positioned inside the outer protective cover in the form of a helix. The filament is adhesively attached between the interior of the outer cover and the exterior of an inner bag. A support sling is provided of polyester webbing material having an inner ring for supporting the bottom of the receptacle and a larger outer ring. Three loops of webbing material are attached to the inner and outer rings in a spaced circumferential arrangement. The loops are of sufficient length to extend up between the outer cover and interior bag and are adhesively attached therebetween.

  • Patent number: 3962959
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for manufacturing flexible containers for use in transportation, storage and handling of flowing materials wherein one edge of a length of flexible sheet material is positioned on a cylindrical mandrel. Next, the edge is affixed to the mandrel with a first length of double-backed adhesive tape and extending the double-backed adhesive tape beyond the width of the sheet material and onto the ends of the mandrel. The mandrel is then rotated to wrap the sheet material about the mandrel to overlap and adhere to the first length of adhesive tape to form the first cylindrical wall. A second length of double-backed adhesive tape is applied on the exterior of the sheet material extending from the first wall. The mandrel is rotated to wrap the material about the first cylindrical wall to overlap and adhere to the second length of adhesive tape to form a second cylindrical wall. The sheet material is severed at the edge of the second wall. The first wall is gathered at one end and is tied.
