  • Patent number: 5364309
Abstract: A coupling element between tubular shaft sections comprises two mutually adjacent membrane walls, each having radially outer and inner circumferences. The membrane walls are mutually connected at their radially outer circumferences. The radially inner circumferences of the membrane walls are in axial alignment with radially inner circumferences of respective shaft sections, and the membrane walls are connected at their radially inner circumferences to the tubular shaft sections. The radially outer circumferences of the membrane walls are elastically decreasable, and the radially inner circumferences of the membrane walls are elastically expandable in response to axial forces applied to the membrane walls in axially opposite directions.

  • Patent number: 5145549
Abstract: A device for the production of one-sided corrugated paperboard with two corrugated rollers which corrugate a paper sheet. A glue mechanism for applying glue onto the corrugated paper sheet has a glue applying roller cooperating with a corrugated roller, a glue dosing element and a glue container. A pressing roller presses a cover sheet against the coated, corrugated paper sheet. Chambers are constructed on both sides of the glue applying roller. The chambers are sealed off, with their first edges against the first corrugated roller or the pressing roller and, with their other edges, are sealed off against the glue mechanism. The chambers have connections for high pressure sources, in order to press, by means of high pressure the corrugated sheet against the corrugated roller. Both edges of the pressure chambers sealing off against the glue mechanism cooperate with surfaces of the glue mechanism which do not convey any glue to the corrugated roller.

  • Patent number: 5095219
Abstract: For the control of a cutting to the correct design length, particularly to the correct print image, of continuously conveyed webs of material by means of a cutter unit, the web of material is provided with a bar code which is detected in contactless manner at least for measuring speed and acceleration by means of a sensor. Each bar of the bar code is converted into a signal which may be multiplied in a signal conversion unit. By this means a high degree of precision of the cutting position is obtained.
