  • Patent number: 5171396
Abstract: A device for splicing paper webs for the manufacture of corrugated board. At least one pressing and redirecting roller is provided to receive the terminating web to be spliced from a web roll. Two clamping rollers, which function in an alternating manner, grasp the terminating web from the web roll. The clasping rollers are moveable from their initial positions to operating positions. A clamping beam, which functions in an alternating manner with one or the other clasping rollers, includes pressing faces disposed oppositely facing each other, there being one beam for each of the clasping rollers. Each clamping beam has a pressing face for pressing the web which runs across it. Two breaking beams alternatingly cooperate with the upper side of the clamping beam for one or the other clasping roller to bring the terminating web to rest. Two alternatingly functioning knives act to cut off the web which is played out.

  • Patent number: 4818330
Abstract: One-sided corrugated board machine having at least two pairs of corrugated rollers, each pair forming an assembly including a lower corrugated roller and an upper corrugated roller. Each of the pairs of rollers is supported on a movable, lockable bearing bracket that is movably secured to walls or supports of the machine. A movable clamping roller and a movable glue-applying device is provided such that they can be moved away to allow the assembly to be moved from one position to another. When it is desired to exchange one assembly for another the clamping roller and the glue-applying device are moved out of the way. The bearing bracket supporting one assembly is then moved from a work position to a rest position and the bearing bracket supporting another assembly is moved from its rest position to the work position replacing the first assembly.

  • Patent number: 4738744
Abstract: One-sided corrugated board machine having at least two pair of corrugated rollers, a lower pair and an upper pair, wherein each pair of lower and upper corrugated rollers are supported on separate lateral, pivotable and fixable bearing brackets. A movable glue-applying device and clamping roller are provided such that they can be moved away from the pivoting path of the corrugated rollers. When it is desired to change the rollers of a single pair, one for another, the glue-applying device and the clamping roller are moved away from the pivoting path and the corrugated rollers are pivoted so as to change each pair of rollers one for another without having to rethread the paper tracks.

  • Patent number: 4658665
Abstract: The invention provides a compact gear installation in which all the necessary auxiliary equipment for pressure lubrication is accommodated within a gear housing. Also, damage to the gear caused by insufficient lubrication during run down or start-up of the gear is avoided. Within the housing, an oil pump pumps lubricating oil from a lower cooled oil reservoir via a filter to an upright oil reservoir. Oil flows out of said upper reservoir via two main pipes, which subsequently interconnect, to lubricate the gear. When the gear is switched off the lower of these pipes is sealed off, e.g. by a valve, but a certain volume of oil can still flow through the upper pipe to lubricate the gear as it slows down. When the gear is started up again, the lower pipe is reopened and the residual volume of oil (below the level of the upper pipe) can flow through this pipe to provide initial lubrication for the gear.

  • Patent number: 4549452
Abstract: Upon upper and lower cutting tools, in a slitting machine, cutting along the opposite edges of a web being adjusted transversely to the web, a corresponding suction nozzle, for taking up the cut-off edge of the web, is correspondingly adjusted transversely to ensure that it takes up the cut-off edge, by a respective drive unit. For ensuring entry of the leading end of a cut-off edge strip into the nozzle, a respective finger is swung down in advance of the leading end.

  • Patent number: 4516454
Abstract: Straight line cutting and/or groove machine for moving material webs, especially for corrugated paper webs. The machine has at least one drive station with several interacting tool pairs for cutting or grooving the material web. The tools are located above and below the material web. The upper and lower tools are firmly clamped on a shifting tube by a controlled braking mechanism. The shifting tube is fastened on a slide part which sits on an adjustment spindle and is driven by a positioning motor. The tools are clamped on a shifting tube in the desired intervals spaced adjacent to each other. The straight line cutting and/or groove machine permits rapid, precise positioning of the tools.

  • Patent number: 4475454
Abstract: The invention concerns a container (1) for receiving rubbish, with a closure plate (3) disposed on an end, which plate can be mated with a rubbish injection device (4) having a hopper (5) and a ram (6). The closure plate (3) is made in two parts, the upper part (8) limiting a free space being vertically movable, and the lower part (9) limiting the filling opening being horizontally movable. The lower part (9) of the closure plate (3) can be connected with the face (16) of the ram (6) and thus serves as a front plate of the ram (6).

  • Patent number: 4313600
Abstract: A sheet stacking method and apparatus having conveyor belts for feeding overlapping cut sheets of cardboard in a flow to a stacking station, in which in order to form a gap in the flow a second conveyor belt is driven faster than a first conveyor belt and, during the time the second belt is driven at the faster rate, a third conveyor belt lifts the sheets off the second belt and drives them at the same speed as the first conveyor belt until the sheet downstream of the gap has left the second belt, whereupon the second belt is again driven at the same speed as the first belt and the third belt replaces the flow of sheets onto the second belt.
