Patents Assigned to BIC Deutschland GmbH
  • Patent number: 7063120
Abstract: A hand-held dispenser for applying a tape on a substrate surface, a casing for a supply reel for the tape, a take-up reel, and an application member for applying the tape. The tape is fed from the supply reel to the application member and then back to the take-up reel. The take-up reel and the supply reel are provided separately from each other. The supply reel and the take-up reel are elongated reels. At least the take-up reel includes at least two spaced apart reel members.

  • Patent number: 6729788
Abstract: A hand-held dispenser for applying a flowable correction medium on a substrate surface. The correction medium is provided in a reservoir of the dispenser and in fluid communication with an application member at least during operation of the dispenser, when the dispenser is pressed against a substrate surface, such that the correction medium can flow from the reservoir to the application member. The application member is configured and dimensioned such that an application width of the application member can be selected by adjusting the dimensions of a contact region of the application member and the substrate surface. This can be particularly done by adjusting the force and/or the direction by which the application member is pressed against the substrate surface.

  • Publication number: 20030226733
Abstract: The invention relates to a sliding clutch for torsion-limiting force transmission between a reel and a rotating part which have two bearing members disposed concentrically within one another. One of the bearing elements is formed by a circular bearing sleeve which is radially resiliently deformable transverse to its rotational axis. The bearing sleeve and the opposing bearing member abut each other in the region of a circular joint and the force transmission is effected by frictional slaving in the region of the joint. With a view to improving the frictional slaving, a tensioning element is provided on the side of the bearing sleeve opposite the side adjacent the bearing member such that the tensioning element presses against the bearing sleeve to bias the bearing sleeve against the opposing bearing member.

  • Patent number: 6601632
Abstract: The invention relates to a manual device for transferring a film consisting for example of adhesive, covering or coloured material from a backing strip to a substrate, with a housing in which a supply reel and a take-up reel for the backing strip are mounted so that they can rotate via a pivot bearing, which is formed by two coaxially arranged bearing components, engaging in each other like sleeves in the region of an annular or hollow cylindrical bearing joint, of which one bearing component is held on the housing so that it cannot rotate and the other bearing component is a part of the relevant reel support and in the course of which a return stop is provided for both reels with a locking pawl which meshes with a gear ring. To guarantee a compact design and economical fabrication, the locking pawl is arranged on the one bearing component against a spring force so that it yields elastically and the gear ring is arranged on the other bearing component.

  • Patent number: 6565657
Abstract: A hand device for transferring a film, of, for example, adhesive, covering, or colored material, from a backing strip to a substrate. A supply spool and a take-up spool for the backing strip are rotatably mounted in a housing. An applicator tip is arranged on the housing and includes an application edge around which the backing strip runs. Furthermore, a brake mechanism, active during the functional operation of the hand device is provided. The brake mechanism has a locking device which interacts with one of the spools. To guarantee a compact design and economical fabrication, the locking device is arranged to be integral with the applicator tip.

  • Patent number: 6363992
Abstract: A device for transferring a film from a tape carrier to a substrate. The device, otherwise known as a tape applicator, has a housing in which are arranged a supply wheel for the tape carrier coated with the film, and a take-up wheel (displaced radially with respect to the supply wheel) for receiving the tape carrier once the film has been separated therefrom. An application device, projects from the housing and presents the side of the tape carrier coated with film to the substrate. A drive connection together with a slip coupling is formed between the supply wheel and the take-up wheel by a friction drive, in which, when the supply wheel is driven by drawing off the tape carrier, the drive connection drives the take-up wheel at such a rotational speed that the tape carrier remains always tensioned. In order to improve the transfer of torque between the wheels, the wheels each have at least one disc-shaped wheel wall.

  • Patent number: 6273982
Abstract: A hand-operated appliance (1) for transferring a film from a carrier tape (7) to a substrate is proposed, this having a casing (2), an interchangeable cassette (3) which can be inserted in the casing (2), a supply spool (4) for a carrier tape (7) coated with a film and a wind-up spool (5) for taking up the carrier tape (7) separated from the film, both spools being held in the interchangeable cassette (3), an applicator device (6) which deflects the carrier tape (7), projects out of the casing (2) and presents the side of the carrier tape (7) which is coated with the film to the substrate, and a drive connection (8) provided with a slip coupling (9) between the supply spool (4) and the wind-up spool (5) which, as the supply spool (4) is driven by drawing off the carrier tape (7), drives the wind-up spool (5) at a rotational speed which is such that the carrier tape (7) always remains tensioned.
