Abstract: A method for controlling an agricultural installation for small and medium livestock farming includes the steps of: acquiring at least one sensor signal of a sensor device of the agricultural installation configured for measuring a process or state variable in the agricultural installation; acquiring a plurality of further sensor signals from locally in the agricultural installation or from sensor devices distributed locally in another agricultural installation, wherein the distributed sensor devices are configured to measure process or state variables; storing the acquired sensor signals as cloud data in a cloud computing device; evaluating the sensor signal with an evaluation module, wherein the evaluation module is part of a control device of the agricultural installation and/or of a cloud computing device and wherein the evaluation takes at least a portion of the stored cloud data into consideration in order to verify the sensor signal in relation to the stored cloud data.

Abstract: A poultry weighing scale for gender-specific weighing in poultry farming includes a weighing plate which is independently accessible for poultry, a weighing module, which is configured to detect the weight of one or more birds which are present on the weighing plate, and a poultry identification unit, which is configured to identify an individual or more birds and their gender of the birds which are present on the weighing plate. The weighing module and the poultry identification unit are configured and arranged as a functional unit of the poultry weighing scale. A method and use for the gender-specific weighing of poultry in poultry farming are also disclosed.

The scanner includes at least one scanner unit comprising a transmitter for transmitting an electromagnetic scanning beam in a predetermined direction and a receiver for receiving a reflection of the scanning beam from the predetermined direction. The evaluation unit is configured to calculate a transit time signal from the reception of a reflected signal emitted from the scanner unit and from the transit time of the signal and to produce a transit time profile for the scanner unit from the transit time signal received over a period.

Abstract: A method for producing a straw mat in a living space for livestock, in particular for sows and/or fattening pigs and/or piglets, confined in a straw pen, is disclosed. The method comprises the step of automatically and initially spreading straw, such as defibrated straw, into the living space up to a substantially uniform thickness (d) of the straw mat. Also disclosed is a straw pen and pen building in accordance with the disclosed method.
