Abstract: A unique communication management device allows the user to control his/her sound environment both in and outside the ear. The device overcomes previous shortcomings encountered by emergency first responders, military, SWAT, firefighters, police, sports enthusiasts, musicians, as well as other users, with respect to single application headsets by utilizing a combination of an ambient noise microphone, volume control, compression circuit, and audio transducer. In an embodiment of the invention, the device also includes independent left and right on/off switches and one or more bone conduction microphones.
