Abstract: A visual lamination for the purpose of finishing the surface of printed and other products by applying laminating films by means of a 100% adhesive system, for which the adhesive-coated laminating film is laminated with a heated laminating roller onto the product, a thermoplastic adhesive being applied immediately in front of the laminating roller on the laminating film by means of a fishtail nozzle, and an apparatus for producing such a visual coating.
Abstract: A loading machine, particularly for drying installations for coated sheets or sheet metal plates, with circulating chain conveyors with two roller chains, which are at a distance from one another and the links of which in each case are connected by bars, which bridge the distance between roller chains, stand up at an angle to the chains and which in the inlet region form chambers, which open up in wedge-shaped fashion from deflection gears at the ends for inserting sheets or sheet metal plates essentially horizontally, the roller chains, leaving the deflection gears, being guided on a convex and particularly on a parabolic path.
Abstract: A calender for applying a dispersion of solid resins, wax dispersions and surface materials on sections or particularly sheets, with a heatable calender roller, a counterpressure roller disposed at the inlet of the section or sheet and a take-off roller, which is preferably constructed as a suction roller and offset in the direction of rotation of the calender roller with respect to the counterpressure roller, as well as, optionally, an air knife disposed in the outlet gap, one or several counterpressure rollers being provided and the diameters of the calender roller and/or of the counterpressure rollers, as well as their mutual contacting pressure, being selected so that the width of the pressure strip of the mutual contact, when a counterpressure roller is provided, is between 20 mm and 45 mm and preferably about 35 mm.
Abstract: A severing apparatus for sheet-laminating machines for separating sheets, transported as single sheets and coated with a continuous film layer, with severing of the overhanging film layer in the edge region of the overlapping area by means of a moving knife, wherein on a rotary table taking hold of the sheet line from below, at least one and preferably several knives, distributed at equal intervals over the periphery, are pivotably mounted with an essentially radial cutting edge, which, by means of a cam control, on passing over the edge of the sheet line, can be lowered from a raised position into an operating position gliding on the sheet line and can be raised again running up from the sheet line, and wherein the circumferential speed of the knife section cutting into the film layer is appreciably greater than the conveying speed of the sheet line.
