The flexible flat cable with no secondary processing adhesives includes a plurality of parallel arranged conductors, two insulation layers and two shielding layers. The two insulation layers have respective inner surfaces oppositely positioned to be adhered to sandwich the parallel arranged conductors. The two shielding layers are respectively adhered on respective outer surfaces of the two insulation layers. At least one of the inner surfaces or at least one of the outer surfaces of the two insulation layers is modified to have a modified surface layer possessing adhesibility.

The first terminals are disposed within the first terminal holes and the first slotted holes, and the second terminals are disposed within the second terminal holes and the second slotted holes. The circuit transferring board is inserted into the slot. The circuit transferring board has first conductive portions and second conductive portions, where back contact portions of the first and second terminals are electrically coupled to the first and second conductive portions, thereby solving a problem of a conventional welded connection. The present invent also provides a card edge connector assembly.

The insulator further comprises a cable slot, which connects the second slot holes so that the second contacting parts of the second terminals extend into the cable slot, to which the FFC is inserted in. The ends of the conductors are electrically connected the second contacting parts of the second terminals. Thus the problem with the existing soldering technology is solved since soldering is not needed.
