    Abstract: The invention provides a fitting for e.g. a horse, cow or similar hooved or cloven-hooved animal. The fitting comprises a shank and a blade, the shank being suitable for being driven into a horn wall of the hoof or cloven-hoof of the animal and thus being capable of holding the fitting to the hoof or cloven-hoof, and the blade having a bottom surface to abut against a bottom edge of the horn wall, and an upper surface suitable as plantar surface of the animal.
