Abstract: A portable production system for biodiesel production is contained within a rolling chassis. A reactor connected to the rolling chassis includes a transparent reaction vessel which houses ultrasonic transducers arranged to disperse ultrasonic energy to a biodiesel precursor, to promote a transesterification reaction of vegetable oil and or animal fat. A mechanical stirrer, also disposed within the reaction vessel, stirs the reactants. A heater, likewise disposed within the reaction vessel, has at least one cover shaped to change a flow of reactants within the reactor vessel as they are stirred by the stirrer.
