Patent number: 7994383Abstract: A disposable bandage for covering a wound area of a skin surface includes a self adhesive first fastener portion and a second fastener portion, a dome having a generally rectilinear shape and constructed from a thin rigid material, the dome being coupled to the first fastener portion along one edge and coupled to the second fastener portion along a second edge. The dome includes pleats that extend across the dome shape from the top edge to the bottom edge of the dome. A gasket is formed of a stretchable material and extends around the underside of the dome. The gasket is held in contact with the skin surface when the first fastener portion and the second fastener portion are pressed to a user's skin and, when the first fastener portion and the second fastener portion are moved away from each other, the pleats are unfolded and the gasket material is stretched and remains in contact with the skin surface.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 2009Date of Patent: August 9, 2011Assignee: Biosara CorporationInventor: Marc Zocher

Publication number: 20070143939Abstract: A cleaning apparatus for a body piercing includes an elongated applicator having a substantially rigid proximal end, a treatment to be applied to the applicator, and a grip through which the applicator proximal end extends. The grip is used to guide the applicator proximal end into one side of the body piercing and out the other side, and the proximal end of the applicator is pulled from the grip through the body piercing. As the applicator is pulled from the grip and through the body piercing, the treatment is applied to the applicator and then to the body piercing. The body piercing is thereby cleansed and treated. The applicator is packaged to remain sterile until use and the cleaning apparatus is easily carried about.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 21, 2006Publication date: June 28, 2007Applicant: BioSara CorporationInventor: Marc Zocher

Publication number: 20070144209Abstract: A piercing hygiene apparatus for a body piercing includes a rod having a diameter sized to maintain a piercing open when the rod is inserted into a body piercing channel, a removable head at one end of the rod and a fastener that can be removably attached at the opposite end of the rod. The head and fastener are sized such that they prevent the rod from falling out of the piercing channel when both are attached to the rod. The rod includes raised surfaces that extend outwardly along substantially the length of the rod such that an open space is created between the raised surfaces and the body piercing channel such that a passive airflow is generated by a temperature gradient between the body piercing channel surface and the ambient air temperature.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 21, 2006Publication date: June 28, 2007Applicant: BioSara CorporationInventor: Marc Zocher
