    Abstract: Disclosed is an electrode device for measuring an electric biosignal. The electrode device includes a flexible PCB (printed circuit board) having a flexible support layer and a trace layer on a first side. The trace layer includes at least two electrode pads for skin contacts and, for each electrode pad, a solder pad and a conducting trace forming a galvanic connection between the electrode and the solder pad. The flexible PCB further includes an opening defining a flexible, elongated cantilever in a central portion of the flexible PCB, having a base end connected to the central portion and a free end separated from the central portion. The solder pads are located at the free end. The electrode device further includes a connector component on the second side, soldered to the solder pads on the free end of the cantilever.

    Abstract: The present invention concerns compounds which can inhibit platelet derived growth factor receptor (PDGF-R) activity, preferably such compounds also inhibit the activity other members of the PDGF-R super family and are selective for members of the PDGF-R super family. The PDGF-R super family includes PDGF-R and PDGF-R related kinases Flt, and KDR. The featured compounds are active on cell cultures to reduce the activity of the PDGF-R and preferably one or more PDGF-R related kinases. An example of a featured compound, A10 (see FIG. 1a), and its ability to inhibit growth of tumor cells in vivo is described below. Using the present application as guide other compounds able to inhibit PDGF-R and preferably Flt and/or KDR can be obtained. Such compounds are preferably used to treat patients suffering from cell proliferative disorders characterized by inappropriate PDGF-R activity.

    Abstract: An apparatus for monitoring multiple physiological variables of a patient at a single site on the patient can be used to facilitate assessment of the patient's well being during medical surgery as well as during ambulatory monitoring, home monitoring, procedure monitoring and similar situations. The apparatus has an infrared (IR) temperature sensor, a pulse oximeter sensor and a communication circuit for outputting information produced from the pulse oximeter and information produced from the infrared temperature measuring device. These elements are integrally placed within a mold or plug made to fit the ear of the patient.
