    Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, there is provided an asphalt composition which incorporates asphalt in admixture with synthetic or natural rubber and a vulcanizing agent. There is also provided a process for preparing the above asphalt composition. Preferably, the rubber is obtained from waste tires or tubes.
