Abstract: A scroll compressor includes a feature for location of a housing shell section off of one of the scroll compressor bodies. According to this aspect, a scroll compressor comprises a housing including a shell section; scroll compressor bodies having respective bases and respective scroll ribs that project from the respective bases and which mutually engage about an axis for compressing fluid; and a drive unit operative to facilitate relative movement between the scroll compressor bodies. The shell section is located axially relative to a remainder of the housing off of one of the scroll compressor bodies.

Abstract: In order to improve a reciprocating piston compressor for a refrigerant circuit, comprising a crankcase, in which a collecting chamber for lubricant is arranged, a cylinder housing, in which at least one reciprocating piston is movable in an oscillating manner, a valve plate which closes the cylinder housing and in which at least one inlet valve and one outlet valve are arranged, and a cylinder head, in which a suction gas duct which runs to the inlet valve and a compressed gas duct which leads away from the outlet valve are provided, in such a manner that excessive accumulations of lubricant can be avoided, it is suggested that a lubricant suction conduit be provided which has an inlet opening associated with the collecting chamber and an outlet opening associated with the suction gas duct and that the outlet opening be located in an area of the suction gas duct, in which a static pressure, which is lower than a static pressure in the collecting chamber for lubricant, prevails at least temporarily.
Abstract: In order to create a refrigeration system comprising a refrigerant circuit (10), in which a main mass flow (56) of a refrigerant is guided, which may be adapted to different operating conditions in an optimum manner it is suggested that at least two refrigerant compressors (12a, 12b, 12c), which can be switched on individually for the purpose of compressing the main mass flow, be arranged in the refrigerant circuit, that at least two of the refrigerant compressors each have at least one additional compressor stage (70), that each of the additional compressor stages be able to be used optionally for the compression of refrigerant from the main mass flow or for the compression of refrigerant from the additional mass flow (86) and that a control (90) be provided, with which such a number of additional compressor stages for the compression of refrigerant from the additional mass flow can be switched on in a first operating mode as a function of the operation conditions that the expansion cooling device (24, 28) l

Abstract: In a cooling device for a rotary piston compressor, in particular a screw-type compressor, which is part of a refrigerant circuit together with a condenser and an evaporator, coolant of the refrigeration system and oil serving to lubricate bearings as well as to cool and seal the screw-type compressor are injected into the screw-type compressor. In order to cool the oil serving to lubricate the compressor bearings separately and to thereby achieve a more economical functioning of the entire cooling device, it is suggested that only the part of the oil serving to lubricate the bearings of the compressor is cooled as a function of the oil temperature sensed behind the bearings and that a branched stream of coolant is used for this, the stream on its part subsequently being fed to the compressor again.
Abstract: A rolling piston compressor comprising: a casing of circular cross-section; a rolling piston supported within the casing on a drivable eccentric shaft so as to be freely rotatable thereon and adapted to roll on the internal surface of the casing in the course of rotation of the shaft; at least one separating slide slidably supported in the casing and resiliently urged by the action of a spring against the circumference of the rolling piston, said slide being disposed between an inlet port for drawing in a medium which is to be compressed and an outlet port for the delivery of the compressed medium, and being associated with a device for locking the separating slide in a position in which the free edge does not bear on the rolling piston circumference.
