Abstract: Provided is a POS peripherals controlling device including: a wireless communication unit; an interface part including at least one interface unit; and a controller determining whether data received from a mobile POS host device through the wireless communication unit includes control data for controlling at least one POS peripheral connected through the interface part, when the received data includes control data, checking a target POS peripheral where the control data is to be delivered among the at least one peripheral, and transmitting control data included in the received data to the checked POS peripheral through a first interface unit connected to the checked target peripheral among the at least one interface unit, wherein the control data is generated by the mobile POS host device and is generated in a format corresponding to the target peripheral that is to receive the control data.

Ordering, payment and management of sales information can be conducted irrespective of location, thereby maximizing user convenience. The general functions of a POS terminal, such as barcode scanning, near-field communication (NFC), signing, and the like, can be performed based on a variety of functions of a mobile terminal in order to provide an optimum solution in any sales environment.

Abstract: Disclosed is an auto-cutter which is installed in a roll paper printer which prints a receipt, a barcode, a label or the like on paper and outputs it. The auto-cutter functions to automatically cut a section of roll paper off. A casing is provided in a main body of the roll paper printer. A step motor is installed in the casing and connected to a movable cutting blade through spur gears. Therefore, a paper cutter structure and a full and partial cut structure can be simplified. In particular, the present invention can prevent a cutter jam, thus enhancing reliability of the operation of cutting.

Abstract: A point-of-sale (POS) system is based on a portable computer. The POS system includes a main processor to which a host central processing unit (CPU) and a software graphics application program interface (API) are mounted; a memory interface to which a memory chipset and a bus-to-device component are mounted; a graphics system to which a graphics accelerator, a Rambus arbiter peripheral component interconnect (PCI), a direct memory access (MA), a random access memory digital-to-analog converter (RAMDAC), a queue and a block write are mounted; an internal monitor as a first monitor; a wireless module, which wirelessly transmits graphics data; and an external monitor, which displays graphics data that is received wirelessly or via wires from a portable computer. The portable computer supports the external monitor with a copy mode, an expansion mode, and an extension mode.

The apparatus includes a paper guide, the position of which is adjustable depending on the width size of a paper to be supplied, and a contact switching means for detecting the width of the paper. The apparatus automatically detects the width of the paper with a simple operation in which the paper is inserted between or taken out of the printer, and thus automatically sets the print width to be the same as the width of the paper, so that printing is performed on the paper.

Abstract: There are provided a printing apparatus and a method for processing real-time commands using the same. The printing apparatus is able to be stably operated without any mechanical troubles such as degraded performance of the printing apparatus, which are caused when real-time commands are analyzed and processed on a receive interrupt routine, by detecting real-time commands from data transmitted from the host computer, separately storing the detected real-time commands in a real-time command buffer and processing the stored real-time commands in preference to the other data.

The portable printer equipped with a manual cutter may include: a fixed blade disposed at one side of a paper outlet; a movable blade holder disposed adjacent to the paper outlet opposite to the fixed blade; a movable blade slidably mounted in the movable blade holder; an operator slidably mounted in the movable blade holder and connected with the movable blade; and elastic members having ends connected to the movable blade holder and the other ends supporting the movable blade or the sides of the operator, and providing restoring force to return the movable blade or the operator to the initial position. Since the portable printer equipped with a manual cutter does not use a power source to cut paper, it is possible to reduce power consumption for the printer and cut paper with the cut surface smooth.
