Abstract: A hole cutter has a cylindrical blade body including a cutting edge and one or more axially-elongated apertures formed within a side wall of the blade body. The axially-elongated aperture is configured to receive a lever, such as a screwdriver, therethrough. Each axially-elongated aperture includes a first fulcrum axially spaced adjacent to the cutting edge, a second fulcrum axially spaced further away from the cutting edge than the first fulcrum, and optionally a third fulcrum axially spaced between the first and second fulcrums. A lever, such as a screwdriver, can be inserted into the aperture and placed against each of the fulcrums to lever slugs out of the interior of the blade body.

Abstract: A motor assembly is provided including a stator assembly and a rotor assembly rotatably disposed relative to the stator assembly. The rotor assembly includes a rotor core having magnet pockets formed therethrough along a longitudinal direction, permanent magnets received within the magnet pockets, and a spring structure disposed in contact with the end of the rotor core. The spring structure includes spring elements configured to apply biasing forces to the permanent magnets along the longitudinal direction of the magnet pockets. Optionally a magnet retention end cap is provided to secure the spring structure to the end of the rotor core.
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a battery pack and a power tool system including a power tool, a battery pack and a battery pack charger. The battery pack includes circuitry to prevent electricity drainage from a plurality of battery cells when the battery pack is only partially mated to the power tool or the battery pack charger.

Abstract: An electric hand-held power tool can include a motor shaft that includes an input portion that is configured to couple to a motor of the electric hand-held power tool and includes an output portion that is rigidly coupled to the input portion of the motor shaft. A magnetic transmission can be concentrically surrounding the motor shaft between the input portion of the motor shaft and the output portion of the motor shaft, to form a motor shaft channel through the magnetic transmission through which the motor shaft extends from the input portion of the motor shaft to the output portion of the motor shaft.
Abstract: A power tool is provided including a tool housing including a motor housing and a handle portion; a battery receptacle disposed at an end of the handle portion opposite the motor housing, the battery receptacle being configured to receive a battery pack; and a brushless DC motor including a stator and a rotor. The stator includes a stator lamination stack, an end insulator, and input terminals supported by the end insulator. A power circuit board is coupled to the input terminals to supply power to the motor. The motor produces a maximum power output of at least 1600 watts for driving an output shaft at a maximum torque of at least 30 inch-pounds and a maximum speed of at least 8000 rotations-per-minute.

Abstract: A shield assembly includes a guard collar and a guard member. The guard collar is disposed around a neck of a gear case of a power tool and includes a first engagement interface. The first engagement interface extends along an outer perimeter of the guard collar and defines a circumferential recess. The guard member includes a second engagement interface for removably engaging with the first engagement interface to secure the guard member to the guard collar. The second engagement interface includes a circumferential engagement member for mating with the circumferential recess of the first engagement interface. The guard member includes a body portion for at least partially surrounding a working member of the power tool.
Abstract: A tool bit holding system for a power tool includes a snap-on bit holder including a curved plate contoured similar to a contour of a top surface of a power tool housing and configured to removably rest on the top of the power tool housing. A plurality of legs extend from lateral ends of the curved plate, each leg including a hook portion configured to be removably received in recesses in lateral sides of the power tool housing to removably retain the curved plate on the top surface of the power tool housing. A bit holding portion includes at least one of a magnetic plate, a box, and one or more bit receiving slots coupled to a top face of the curved plate. The at least one of the magnetic plate, the box, and the one or more bit receiving slots is configured to removably retain at least one of a tool bit, a fastener, and a supplemental tool bit holder.
